amy_runs Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Rotting because is the worst GD song they have ever made. I love Rotting
TheSaltOfTheEarth Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 None of them depress me, really, but Whatsername, No One Knows, Macy's Day Parade and sometimes parts of JoS make me sad or make me think.
clairemarie Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 No one knows always makes me depressed but I never change it when it comes on cause I ADORE that song. And sometimes Wake me up When September Ends because of it's subject matter. Especially if I watch that music video, it hits me that much harder.
Ren.Shenanigans Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 wake me up when september ends & and no one knows
st.idiot Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 green day never depresses me ever to be honest. they all get me vamped up and ready and all pumped and happy
!VivaLaGreenDay!23 Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 I don't really think any of their songs depess me they usually get me all hyper!!! But I'd have to say that "no one knows" really gets me thinking but never depresses me.....
fatherotti Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 No One Knows was really the only song that ever made me really cry.... about 4 months ago...I went to visit my old high school, I graduated in 2009......I went to visit my ex during lunch hours...on the way out I was surprised by my old teacher he almost knew that I was there.....anyway we started talking about how things were going and about life and stuff... the thing was I had him for class all 4 years I was there....and I literally had him in all of my class periods....lol..... ok when I was a freshman we were a group of like 6 kids in that home room...all rebellious and all obnoxious....and to be honest most of us didn't wanna be there....it was remedial class and it sucked.....during that 1st year we lost 1 kid....didn't wanna go to school anymore.... during the 2nd year we had another dropout.....there was 4 left....during the 3rd year we lost one more....which left only 3 of the original kids... basically we were the only students that my teacher had ever gotten that close to......during the last week of school as seniors he gave us some gifts...and had us all take a picture together.... well....back to 4 months ago today...we talked and he told me that he wouldn't attending graduation cause he had no seniors that year....and that he would be moving schools...then he told me something that I will never ever forget.....he said "yea you know I still have that picture of you guys from last year, I framed it and put it on my desk".........I was like "cool"..........after that we said out goodbyes and I left....but as I was leaving he turned around and started talking to me about the San Jose Sharks (our fav team)......it almost felt like he didn't wanna say goodbye yet...... but I had to leave......so I just said one last thing and said bye....then he walked into his room....and that's when I noticed.....he didn't have any students that class period.....he was all by himself.......  .......... I started to think....."he framed our picture, he's lonely now...his students are all gone...."......  when I got in the car I listened to No One Knows....and began to realize how fast High School had gone by and how only last I was a senior and it went by so fast....... all of my friends were all gone too...... I dont know....the song brings so much emotion to me........oh man...sorry for the moodyness
St. Jocelyn Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 wake me up when september ends. it makes me cry everytime i hear it!
Ilda_25 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I don't know. Sometimes GD's songs that usually depresse me, are the ones who make me happier when I'm feeling down.
Starred Thoughts Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 No One Knows for sure, sometimes Good Riddance and Macy's Day Parade as well. I love them all, they're just melancholy.
gloria123 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 They don't depress me but whatsername and wake me up when September makes me sad
Doris The Spider Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Wake Me Up When September Ends When that song came out, it was not the best time of my life. :/
Lu. Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I find something depressive in nearly all songs, whether they're Green Day's or not. But well, they would be: 21 Guns Give me Novacaine When I Come Around Whatsername When It's Time J.A.R She Only Of You Restless Heart Syndrome
Dutch_Idiot89 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 There's no Green Day song that depresses me really.. but when I hear 21 guns I just tear up a bit, I don't know, it was so awesome hearing it live, and the version of Green Day World Stage was SO emotional! Omg.. I really had to hold my tears in the cinema, I felt sooooo sad, and I just realized time has gone by so fucking fast, and it makes me really miss them.
Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 21 Guns, because it sucks, and it depresses me that one of my favourite bands could release a song that was (a) basically a rewrite of one of their older hit songs (it is a shit version of Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, which once you got over it being so overplayed and successful, is just a plain old fucking beauty of a song, 21 Guns however is not) (b) something that you'd expect Linkin Park or 30 Seconds To Mars to write, big and overly "anthemic" with nothing to actually say © insisted upon playing at every gig when the best thing about it is the piano interlude that isn't even on the original song (d) released as a single with a shitty radio edit missing out half the song and boring boring miserable video ahead of...I dunno actually 21st Century Breakdown isn't really my cup of tea. I have come to realise that I only liked it at first because it was new Green Day for the first time in 5 years but it's pretty awful.
21Heart_Grenades Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 To me the most depressing Green Day song, and the only one I've ever cried to('cause I know the same feeling, my mom died of brain cancer when I was 7 in 2006, so...), is "Wkae Me Up When September Ends".
CzechIdiot Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 WMUWSE ,21 Guns, Only of You and Who Wrote Holden Caulfield, cause sometimes I feel like that song describes my life
Nuclear Winter Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 no GD song depresses me, but when I AM depressed, I listen to Brain Stew, and then Jaded to get me up again.
Guest Honey Emerald Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 All of them used to depress me, but not so much anymore. I think a ton of songs depressing you like that is a good indicator you may need help.
heyohbilliejoe Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 no one knows - definitely agreeing with people there. urrrrm 21 guns sometimes. wake me up when september ends because of the story behind it. time of your live ^--------- yeah, the predictable ones really.
Lampostc Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 No One Knows depresses me but i love it for the fact that it calms me down completely when I'm freaking out.
kate_ochoxx Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Restless Heart Syndrome Last Night on Earth(sorry but me and my ex had that song so...) Wake Me Up When September Ends No One Knows... yeaaa i think thats all..
Margo 39 smooth Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Sometimes when i listen to some of the really good songs, y'know that ones that are just incredible, they leave me kinda sad cause i know all i'll ever be able to do is just listen to this band and go to a concert or two every couple years....thats depressing
