Johannamunter Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 They don't depress me but they make me emotional, song like Christe road, Whatsername and also Song of the century cause that song brings up those feelings I felt when I saw them live for the first time
Juliette Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 21 Guns and Wake Me Up make me cry almost every time I listen to them. Especially watching them live.
AnnA™ Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 None of them make me depressed. Green Day mostly just makes me happy. Although I have cried to Good Riddance and Wake Me Up When September Ends 'cause I associated them with sad things that had happened, they don't really make me sad anymore.
PunkRocks and Coke Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Wake me up when september makes me sad because its about Billie's dad and hes pouring out so much emotion in that song, and people think its about 9/11 but they have no idea what the real meaning is behind it.and whatser name. it doesnt really make me depressed it just makes me sad in away idk why though but i love both of those songs
ChelseaWhatsername Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Uhhh, the obvious ones? WMUWSE, Are We The Waiting kinda does... it's a mix of wishful thinking, euphoria and a bit of depression. Rotting, Whatsername, Give me Novacaine, Last Night On Earth kinda, Tired Of Waiting For You, Scattered, No One Knows made me cry once - don't know why, Why Do You Want Him, Rest, Restless Heart Syndrome... I think that's it. Probably not.
Maddy. Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 This! Insomniac is a bit depressing...definitely. I don't find Insomniac depressing. Sure, it's a dark record with some raw emotion. But not depressing, no.
.katie. Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I wouldn't say it depresses me, but WMUWSE always makes me sad
Anja Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Songs I can relate to or songs that remind me of specific events. Like Novacaine, Christie Road, Whatsername or Welcome to paradise. But as everyone else said already, they trigger emotional feelings but not depressing feelings.
*Maria_Laura* Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Macy's day parade, wake me up when september ends , and no one knows i love those songs ! but i can only listen to them depending on my mood or else they get me really drepressed )':
Vaso.Of.Suburbia Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 boulevard of broken dreams...... my favourite song! i love it soooo much! when i listen to it i cry....... i don't know why!
GreenDay-Idiot Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 WMUWSE...when I listen to it I remember all 2005-2006
drumstick Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Wkw Me Up When September Ends,Viva La Gloria, Give Me Novacaine, Restless Heart Syndrome and Time Of Your Life
Jaymee!! Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 WMUWSE Waiting (for some strange reason) a couple others
xVanessa86x Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Give Me Novacaine.... That song usually does it...
whizzingbullet Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Give Me Novocaine and Last Night on Earth. I was playing the latter on my guitar the other night and I almost cried.
boosho Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I cant say i have a song that depresses me or makes me sad.. it all depends on the frame of mind im in.. I could listen to say Good Riddance at a good time and it makes me smile or another time it makes cry.. And same with King for a day, its like a happy song but sometimes i listen to it and makes sad (coz it reminds me of the shows and that i really want to see them live again).. but Whatsername always makes me sad..
Little Girl Little One Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Whatsername, without a doubt. Being part of an army family, I move a lot, and I just moved away from pretty much the only place that ever felt like home. Now, I'm kind of terrified of people forgetting my name and thinking of me as just a Whatsername, but at the same time, there's that part of me that's grateful that I would at least leave an impression on them. There's also the reverse of course, of me forgetting about those friends, which petrifies me because they're just the kindest and most special people I've ever met.
Velocity Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Wake Me Up When September Ends. I can relate to it too much and I can't listen to it lately. Other times there are other songs that might get me down, like Good Riddance or Whatsername. But I only feel that way about them sometimes.
Metanoia Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 WMUWSE Waiting (for some strange reason) a couple others me too
cris_spain Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 me too +1. Waiting makes me melancolic, and I don't know why. Wake me up when september ends. It's one of the songs that have really touched my soul. I feel a hole in the stomach when I listen to it.
she's high voltage Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Sometimes some of their songs make me feel emotional... but they don't depress me. Songs like: Macy's Day Parade, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Christie Road...
songbird. Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 for some reason, Macy's Day Parade. it's always been that song.
Erica. Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Good Riddance. It's my favorite song, but I always have a tendency to cry when I hear it. Restless Heart Syndrome, Macy's Day Parade, Whatsername.
