Well, I don't get depressed listening to them but they're pretty sad: No One Knows and Macy's Day Parade

Not one of them have made me depressed but some of them made me think.

i've always found some of green day's songs sad, but never depressing until after I went to their concert... now it's like every sad song I hear by GD really connects with my feeling of sadness that that night is over, and that I won't see them again live for at least a while. so now I find Whatsername very depressing because it seems like it's talking about the concert ("Remember, whatever, it seems like forever ago")... don't know if that makes much sense, haha. also wake me up when september ends, letterbomb, good riddance, 21 guns, BOBD... the usual.

Well Good Riddance because it was at my dads funeral, that always bums me out i used to love that song but now it just brings back bad memories.

also Wake me up when September Ends and Whatsername.

Whatsername is without doubt the saddest Green Day song ever. It's brutal. I pretty much can't listen to it without crying :/

^^ I agree its about the only one I found sad until I heard the new album, quite a few on there, he's very melancholic this time around to the point of depressed, its a very dark album.

^ Do you think so? I've always thought of AI as the darker album....which songs particularly in 21CB do you think come from Billie's dark place (so to speak) I'll have to have a listen and pay more attention....

Definitely Macy's Day Parade. It makes me think of the world coming to an end, for some reason...

No song depresses me.

When everybody says Rest, do they mean Restless Heart Syndrome?

If not, Jesus, these abbreviations suck. Rest looks like an actual song name

No, they mean the actual song Rest, I would have thought.

Whatsername kills me... and if I'm in a certain mood When I Come Around can get the job done.

Posted

def wake me up when september ends.... :(

I definitely think that Macy's Day Parade is the most depressing song. The lyrics get to me every time.

Posted

Macy's Day Parade or Whatsername. But it really depends on my mood.

There aren't really any Green Day songs that depress me; I don't think that the band wrote many of their songs to make people feel sad. Whatsername and Wake Me Up When September Ends do make me feel nostalgic, like I've left behind a lot of things that I can never get back or relive.

I don't found songs of Green Day depressing. when I feel depressed songs of Green Day are the only thing that help me to get over it

WMUWSE is an obvious choice, but it does make me sad sometimes, especially live versions.

Posted

Any of them doesn't depress me, but I start feeling sad when I listen Good Riddance because it reminds me that my best friend is going to move to another town soon.

Rest...
