actually, you should have, since it says in the rules, don't seem like many care, because the mods and admins use ALOT of time closing and merging topics that have already been done, or just closing stupid topics, I don't know how many threads they gotta do that to aday, but I can get it if they're starting to get sick of it to say it simple.

But as long as you've learned and serach the next time you start a topic and don't start (like many others actually do), new topics saying "hey why did yah close ma thread", hehe.

Trust me I know how annoying it can get im a mod on two other boards it was just absent minded of me it wont happen again

We have a record player, and I love listening to my parents' old records (well, the good ones), but I don't really see the point in buying LPs of new music. But that's cool that you guys collect them. Just wondering, what's the appeal for you? Does it sound different?

To me the sound is more clear and "real".

I collect vinyls, but I don't have a lot of Green Day [they tend to come a bit pricy..] But I've got the Minority, Warning, and Waiting 7" and the WMUWSE picture disk. Yeah, I know..nothing to show off.

I just ordered the Warning 12" through my local record store

Takes upto 6 weeks for orders :(

^ jesus laura, that's alot of vinyls!

so okay, after getting my phgp vinyl, i have fallen in love with the idea of collecting as much as i can with limited cash.

i have my eyes set on a when i come around vinyl, but there's a few versions.

also, what's a card sleeve? is it a CD or a Vinyl? http://cgi.ebay.com/Green-Day-Sealed-Austr...A1%7C240%3A1318

and then a UK version http://cgi.ebay.com/Green-Day-U-K-single-C...p3286.m20.l1116

and...this http://cgi.ebay.com/GREEN-DAY-UK-pic-disc-...p3286.m20.l1116

what i'd like to know, is how to identify which ones were limited editions/rare (such as Slappy and 1000 Hours) or which ones there was alot of (like WMUWSE)

[edit] agh darn, i just realized all the WCA's i posted were CD's. so is there an actual vinyl of it?

Posted

Yep, there is a vinyl of WICA; I can't be sure how many were pressed, but i'd say there was only one pressing of it. I heard somewhere once something about 7000, can't be sure though

It's not that hard to find out which are rarer than others, really. usually they sell for more, quicker, and aren't put up as often if they're rarer ones.

Collecting vinyl is addictive but a lot of fun if you're into it! (and it can be done on limited funds; i've managed it this year).

I bought the PHGP vinyl from Recess Records when they first came out. But I never found out where you could purchase the other colors(besides eBay). Help?
