Soysauce Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 why did you have to bump this thread up? I was wondering why this came back all of a sudden.
spark in the night Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 i agree...i watch King for a day/shout over and over  ay thats my favorite part too. cuz everyone gets to dress silly and billie gets to be overly excited shoobee doobee bop bop...
TKR_92 Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 i got the cd/dvd the weekend After the day it came out Its Fucking Awsome
Jamie311 Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 So I am slowly watching the DVD (finally...I know, Bad fan!...) anyway , it is part of my excerise regiment...so I only allow myself to watch it while I am on the treadmill. So yesterday I got to see Hitchin' a Ride. I was so excited! I am not sure if it was the endorphins from the work out, or the fact that it is my favorite song to see live... but when the final count of "1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4" came on and the cannons went off...I can honestly say I was almost as excited as I was when I saw it in person. It was almost a turn on...and not because of the masturbation part...that is not as good coming through a t.v. It is fun to see live though (sorry If i sound like a teenie...but it is). But it did something to me... ahhhh...
take me_away Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 ay thats my favorite part too. cuz everyone gets to dress silly and billie gets to be overly excited shoobee doobee bop bop... haha yeaaah my mom walked in when I was watching that part. She was like what the fuck is he doing!?
ImnotaDrIjustPlayOneOnTV Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 I know it was 2 hours long anyway but why not include the whole set? She, Knowledge, Jaded? I know I am missing something. I saw them twice on the AI tour but c'mon. Also, 2000 Lightyears... I wouldn't have minded it being closer to 3 hours long myself. Other than that I can watch it over and over and over...

Other than that I can watch it over and over and over... i know or sam bayer could of at least put it on the audio cd. I personally think there should of been more backstage stuff, i mean it's not like most of us have not seen all that concert stuff before. Hey it's my opinion

I undersrand not adding Knowledge to the CD...too hard to edit I am sure... BUT, why She and jaded are not on the CD I will never know...i was sad to see that they were not! they are 2 of my favs.

justcause Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 I know it was 2 hours long anyway but why not include the whole set? She, Knowledge, Jaded? I know I am missing something. I saw them twice on the AI tour but c'mon. Also, 2000 Lightyears... I wouldn't have minded it being closer to 3 hours long myself. Other than that I can watch it over and over and over... I totally agree - I think it was unforgiveable to leave out the songs that maybe meant the most to GD fans, and the 'Knowledge' thing is a classic part of their audience interaction. Then again, the other footage leaves you wanting more - it was mostly strictly backstage, except for that god-awful sequence in the war museum; I dunno, but to me, it all felt a bit 'glossy', certainly in the fashion-mag way BJ was shot, and I would have liked more of what BJ was referring to as 'the smells' etc. - the grittiness of a band on tour. I think the way to go would have been maybe three CDs - audio, documentary, and uncut concert footage, preferably from one day, not a couple intercut, but I suppose that would have hiked the price up. On the other hand, things like 'Lord of the Rings' had all kinds of high-priced special editions and whatnot, and there wasn't a problem with that. Bayer must have a ton of footage he didn't use - where's the Director's Cut ? Hey, typo - I almost typed 'Director's Gut' - well, we all saw that!
Fr33Pink Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 this dvd is cool, and also with subhead in germany so i undersatnd also something

Jimmy's_Rebel Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Bayer must have a ton of footage he didn't use - where's the Director's Cut ? Hey, typo - I almost typed 'Director's Gut' - well, we all saw that! Yeah - i'd love a Director's 'Cut' version Like you said, there must just be tons of stuff that didn't make it. And i'd like some of that stuff in Tre's bit where you can see he says something but Basket Case is playing over the top. Or where Mike has his arm round Billie and they laugh - WHAT ARE THEY LAUGHING ABOUT!!!?!!!?!??
