They sound soooo similar, I was doing my dishes when I listened to it for the first time, and didn’t even realize Jakob was singing too, I thought he just did the guitar. I figured Billie really brought out that deep voice from his youth.
 

Only on he second listen I realized there were 2 voices on the track lol

I don’t think 16y years olds are mature, but neither are 22 years olds. Now, at 28, looking back, I see more similarities between my 22yo self and my 16yo self than between my 28yo self now and my 22yo self.

I had an ex who when he was 22 and started dating someone who was 16. Everyone around me, including myself, thought it was weird and kind of disgusting. If they'd been ten years older I wouldn't think that much of it though.

So I guess you boycott every classic rock artist and group from the 70’s then because literally every band from The Rolling Stones to The Who to Led Zeppelin and anyone else you could name considered teenage groupies to be a rock star perk.

Where have I said boycott? Just said it’s a weird optic to chose someone who slept with a underage groupie when his oldest had a similar situation happen hell I didn’t even call Bowie a pedo

Listened a couple more times and I feel fairly confident about who is singing what now.  Voices are so similar, but Jacob’s pronunciations are a little different. 

First refrain and chorus - Billie 

Verse 1 and second chorus - Jacob 

Verse 2, refrain, third chorus - Billie

Verse 3, fourth chorus - Jacob

Bridge - both?

Last chorus and outro - Billie

In Germany it’s legally allowed to have sex with someone of the age 14 and older if it’s consensual.

I don’t want to say that I would approve of that but the Joey „affair“ wouldn’t be a thing here.

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head here, we all have different laws with different age limits.  Sixteen is the age of consent here so I have never got involved in these discussions. It’s largely the culture you are used to.

Anyway, Jakob says they shared it YT tube says Billie is lead, a press review (now lost in among many, can’t remember which) says Billie is lead….either way, it sounds great. They certainly compliment each other, that genetic connection wins every time.

It’s the same point whether it’s you who judge musicians that way or him if he did that The Coverups would have no one to cover. He’s not going to select songs that way when it was a thing across the board back then it’s silly.  This has nothing to do with Joey.

I think you could be right, especially about Jakob’s delivery early on.

No it hasn’t. You can’t just make stuff up and pretend it’s a fact, and then get mad about the scenario you built in your own head. 
 

No 14yo ever accused Bowie of sleeping with her, and if you’re talking about Lori Maddox, you should know most of the stuff circulating about her is just disgusting mysoginistic rumors that she never said or claimed to have done, and if I remember correctly, she even spoke up about all the disgusting stuff made up about her is fake. I don’t even like Bowie that much, literally the only songs I listened from him are Under Pressure because I love Queen and Space Oddity because I’m a nerd. 
 

No it is not the same thing. A 22yo and a 16yo are much, much closer in brain development and life stages than a 26yo and a 14 yo. A 14yo is barely a teenager, mostly a child, while a 26yo is a full grown adult with a fully developed brain.
