Popular Post Christian's Inferno! Posted December 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 7, 2023 I've listened to the song a couple times. I don't think my views are quite as positive as most people here. I like the song, but I'm not blown away by it like people here seem to be. It's another solid track like the 2 previous singles but those songs I've kind of lost a lot of interest in and idk, I was just hoping for a more slam dunk on this next single. The fact that we've heard 5 of the first 6 songs on the album (granted one is a demo and one has just been performed live) and none of them have really hit me as hard as basically anything on 21CB or even as hard as many of the songs on the trilogy makes me a bit less excited for Saviors. I still like it quite a bit. Everything we've heard from Saviors is miles better than FOAMF. Dilemma is a really personal track and I really commend Billie for writing a song like this. It's written better than Still Breathing imo but I don't love the vocals. I think Billie's vocals on Saviors sounds better than FOAMF but idk, I think there's still something off about them, and I was honestly fine with how Billie sounded on the trilogy. Since then, I've not been a huge fan of how Billie sounds on their albums. Again, I still enjoy the song, it's catchy, it's personal and instrumentally it's really solid. I can definitely see why people love this track even though I would not agree with the notion that it's their best song since American Idiot or 21CB. Maybe the best song since RevRad, though I couldn't say the best since the trilogy because Bang Bang is top tier. I can see myself singing along to the song after a few more listens. Btw, can LBNB please stfu about how Billie should start drinking again. You honestly sound like a fucking idiot 10 Quote
Popular Post killjoywhatsername Posted December 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 7, 2023 Besides just loving the guitar on this song and the sound mixing. I went to treatment for alcoholism in August, relapsed in October and went back to treatment. I just got out of that rehab yesterday and moved into sober living. Hell, I just left my day treatment meeting and put on this song for the first time. I’m in love with it. 31 2 Quote

The TV appearance will be pre-recorded (and probably on at 8:30pm when no one is watching but I’ll take it. They save the big pop and hip hop acts for midnight and prime time I will certainly be sat at 8:30 after a long day of watching SyFy’s Twilight Zone marathon, because my NYEs are exciting like that. 😂 3 2 Quote

Popular Post jakdokinori Posted December 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 7, 2023 Goddamn what a brilliant song, definitely hits you hard knowing the inspiration for it but holy crap it's amazing hearing Billie really go for it vocally on this one especially. 5 Quote
Popular Post jengd Posted December 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 7, 2023 Wow! What a banger. I love the song, love the video. It’s been said already but what a brave move, he’s clearly coming to terms with his addictions and (hopefully) learning to manage them in a healthy way. So brave to lay it all bare like that. I’m sure they have indulged in way wilder partying than is shown in the video. We can see now why he was wearing that camera and it’s been used to really great effect. We knew the song was going to be about addition but I didn’t think it would be so open, thought the true message might be a little buried but combined with the video it’s very clear. Been said already but what a clever from transition from “hey, this is great” to “oh shit, I’m in trouble here”. So excited for the album. 7 2 Quote

With what little we knew of the song before it came out, I think I had a bit of fear that the lyrics wouldn’t take the issue seriously, or that the video would minimize it (probably still residual FOAM anxiety, lol). I could not have been more wrong about that, and I’m glad. 7 Quote
Saviour Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Yeah someone, somewhere has really dropped a bollock on this one. This still ain't on Apple Music. I WANT MY LOSSLESS LISTENING EXPERIENCE YOU HELMET 1 Quote

Popular Post MillenniumFan Posted December 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 7, 2023 Just listened to the song on my way home. I didn‘t notice at first but I was grinning from ear to ear by the time the mid section rolled around. Must be a sign from the subconscious that this is good stuff. Gotta say this new material has me properly hooked, I cannot stop hitting replay lol 5 Quote

Lenny Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Great solid tune. A different track for their discography. This one should be an alt radio hit. 1 1 Quote
That Dude Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 The credits have all sorts of interesting things....Zoe Lambert worked on the color of the video and is also an extra in the video. Director is the same as Look Mommy and Ze Merican Dream....just go read the credits. We will all recognize different names and can help each other figure it all out. Heck, you might personally know somebody in there ! Quote

Billie is gonna write what he’s gonna write and feels but I’m happy for this take rather than something like they tried to do with FOAM where it felt a bit disingenuous to me 2 Quote
Little Boy Named Booze Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Strange days are here again or Strange days are here to stay? Seriously it's on repeat since this morning. What a great song! 2 Quote
GDFan2019 Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 Now that we know Dilemma was Teaser #9, I wonder what song that is in the second half where CLA is playing around with that keyboard 1 Quote

Popular Post DookieLukie Posted December 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 7, 2023 Liking the diversity in the songs. Feel like this will be a true “album” once they’re all out, meaning great to listen front to back. They are going full force into good melodies so far. Still waiting on a harder song like “Bang, Bang.” Despite not being crazy about Dilemma, it’s still a good song with things to like. Also props for all these songs sounding energetic and fully fleshed out. 5 1 Quote
