As a fan of Fang, I was surprised to see their frontman Sammytown posting pics with Green Day and Rancid a guest, though Fang's connection to Green Day goes without saying

Fang was a fellow Berkley band, and a pretty instrumental band in the first wave of hardcore on the East bay. They set the stage for a lot of the younger, emerging punk groups in the area. It feels wholesome to see Green Day quietly still supporting the veterans of the scene.

Didn't he go to jail for murdering his girlfriend? I think that's why they keep their support on the quiet.
