It’s already perfect anyway tho:) That’d be be amazing! I was thinking the choice of Saviors songs are mostly upbeat/fast-paced. Switching one of the ones included with something more emotional would be great. Fancy Sauce would be the best one, otherwise maybe Suzie Chapsticks or Goodnight Adeline. 4 Quote

And it make sense considering AI has a lot of emotional/slower moments in its own right. I honestly think they could sometimes switch out Look Ma for Living in the 20s. That song sounded amazing when they played the album in full a couple months back! 2 Quote
paperlanterns22 Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 It looks like they got a big inflatable of the Dookie cloud on stage! They didn’t have that the first couple festival shows 1 Quote
alienlifeform Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 So if the play the 37 songs on the setlist this will become the 2nd biggest GD show in number of songs. Only Costa Rica 2010 got more than this, with 42 edit... actually it will be the 3rd, Bottom Of The Hill 1998 got 39 songs, though we don't have a definitive source to confirm the songs played in the nont broadcasted part 1 1 Quote

It’s gotta rival some of those 21CB tour shows They played 43 songs in 2010 on the last show of the 21st Century Breakdown tour. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/green-day/2010/estadio-ricardo-saprissa-san-jose-costa-rica-bd57542.html 2 Quote
Popular Post Montclare Posted June 5, 2024 Popular Post Posted June 5, 2024 So they keep adding one more Saviors song each show. Maybe by the time they get back to the US they'll just be doing the whole album. (Just give me Living in the 20s) 4 3 2 Quote

Westerberg89 Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 Can’t understand Know Your Enemy being in the set. Weak song. Same with One Eyed Bastard, both throw away. Put Maria in for KYE. Saviors in for OEB. Quote

Rumpelstiltskin2000 Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 I'm trying to download the video of Extraordinary Girl I was sent but I don't have a computer and my phone doesn't seem to like it. If I succeed I'll upload. Apparently Billie said "Green Day is on our eras tour" 🍭 (didn't mean to put the lollipop emoji ) It's cool they still had the plane even indoors 2 Quote
Popular Post solongfromthestars Posted June 6, 2024 Popular Post Posted June 6, 2024 It's me, hi, I was the one updating Rumpel. What she really means is that I was screaming louder than the band or accidentally pressing the selfie button. Pulling Teeth and Extraordinary Girl should be OK-ish as far as my Peasant 5000 phone goes though. I don't think they played 37 songs unless I'm underestimating how many it was with Dookie and Idiot. It was a pretty standard length show. I impulsively decided to go to this the day before I flew out (thanks for the £30 flight easyJet). It was my first Green Day show in nearly five years and of course it blew me away. Worth every penny I should've spent fixing my car. They absolutely shouldn't drop One Eyed Bastard. I wasn't expecting it and screamed like a teenager. It was fantastic. I don't like Dilemma but I didn't give a shit when they played it because everything sounded amazing. When they started playing American Idiot, I thought of my 12 year-old self watching Bullet in a Bible, wondering if I'd ever see such a thing live. And I was just like... "12 year-old self, you're hearing it live in Lyon, France and it's everything you dreamed of and more." Despite all our posts about French crowds, this one defied every stereotype. People went nuts but weren't aggressive at all. It was incredible to look back and see this sea of smiling people jumping. No camembert assaults (that I'm aware of). It was exactly what "punk" should be. There were a LOT of VIPs. Seemed like more than RevRad. I was about sixth in the peasant queue and was between Mike and the screen. I was very happy with that spot though. I'll have more to say when I've slept (my grand total of hours slept over the past 48 hours is about three) but wow, as always. 6 7 Quote
That Dude Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 All the Saviors singles, woohoo! Very good sign for the future of Green Day live. They don't want to touch FOAM or Trilogy and I'm on the road to acceptance about that. Slide in a Rev Rad track and 39/Smooth every so often this is near perfection. 2 Quote
Rumpelstiltskin2000 Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Bobby Sox Give me Novocaine Chump/Longview All by myself Well that didn't work, I've shared the advertisement and not the song and I can't seem to remove it Anyway the same guy has other videos on his channel if you check it out 4 Quote
Flashback Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 The stage design looks really cool. Also with the large screen on top of it! 3 Quote
Red Lights Flash Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 I've noticed in all the Dookie songs this tour, Mike's bass sounds so much different from the live sound we've been used to for all those years. I didn't expect the difference between the old Gibson bass and his typical Fender Precision bass to be so obvious! But I do love the touch of him going back to his old bass for the Dookie songs, and Billie Joe going back to his satin white Les Paul Jr. for the American Idiot songs. 1 Quote
PeterStrange Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Video of One Eyed Bastard. played for the first time in this european tour 4 Quote
