Hmm.. I think Dilemma is similar to AI and 21st CB. I don't know...I hope that in other songs they use different instruments, for example.

None of the songs sound like AI or 21CB. AI was so strong in every regard, and so far the singles sound really lame. I love green day so much, but theyre 50+, theyre never going to make something as great as AI again. 
 

theres just something odd about these songs, theres no build up to the choruses, its like it was copied and pasted on pro tools. The string section being so early in TADIKM is so odd too.

I listened to some of the clips too. I think I'm going to wait until the full album leaks before I listen to anything else. The clips sound interesting enough but in typical Billie Joe fashion, I couldn't understand what he was saying in basically any of them lol

It’s not really close tbh. The American Dream Is Killing Me wasn’t really representative of the album sound at all.

I swear I think we heard this one before!!! Before FOAM, Billie posted a couple studio videos on Instagram and he was doing overdubs for a song and it kinda sounded like this in his headphones!!! Could this be a FOAM reject?

Based on TADIKM and the name of the album being "Saviors", I was getting hard 21CB vibes from this era at first. The American Dream is one of the main themes of 21CB and the word Saviors, was giving me a Heroes & Cons vibe but based on what I've heard, it seems Saviors is referring more to the band being Saviors of rock music or something rather than being political like the "Heroes & Cons" concept was in 21CB. And since most of the album seems to not really be political (again, from what I've heard, I've not actually heard the full album yet obviously), it doesn't seem like any of the main themes of this album are political like the American Dream. I imagine Living in the 20s and maybe Coma City is gonna be sort of topical/political, idk if any other songs on the album are gonna be all that political. In that case, seems like politcally, it's going to be more of a RevRad type album where a few tracks are political, some songs are personal and some songs are just kinda fun and not too serious

Doesn't sound like a FOAM song to me. Maybe it was written around that time, if it was rejected from FOAMF, odds are it probably just didn't fit with the other songs

Yeah, I’ve definitely gotten RevRad vibes from how they’ve described the album. It seems like a mix of topics and sounds similar to that album. And I love RevRad, so that’ll work for me!

Living in the 20s was kinda Horshoes and Handgreandes vibes, probably one of my favourites.

Also nobody got copies, if there’s leaks it’ll just be phone recordings.

I recorded the listening party on voice memos as I’m sure a lot of people will over the next day or so. 

Here’s my review. 

The American Dream Is Killing me is in no way representative of the complete album. You can really tell that this was the last song recorded. 

Bobby Sox is a big highlight for me. If you’re a fan of Fidlar or Weezer you’ll really like this one. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this is the next single. Heavy and really beautiful melody. I really like it.

1981 rules. Definitely sounds like it could be from Cigarettes and Valentines or Nimrod. Classic Green Day sound right here. 

Goodnight Adeline starts slow and builds into another heavy track with sweet and soft lyrics as expected. 

Coma City starts with a riff in a similiar vein to 99 Revolutions or a Blink 182 riff. Great fucking ending with the band jamming out and Tre going ham. Another highlight for me. The breakdown from this is one of the very early teaser snippets that was released way back when. I’ll post the Instagram video to this later. 

Corvette City is a just a straight up fun song. Probably won’t ever get played live but it’s a lot of fun. Mid tempo rock and roll with cowbell! Has a slight country twang to the chorus! Certainly won’t be a single but it’s fun. 

Susie Chapstick has a melancholy feel to it. “Not even the drugs seem to work” “Do you just want me to go away?”. Gives off Nimrod/Warning vibes but also in a league of its own. 

Strange Days are Here to Stay is a classic Green Day sounding song. Trilogy vibes with a much better production. Love the palm muting and melody on this one. 

Living in the 20’s is a fucking ripping tune. Imagine Horsehoes and Handgrenades and Walking Contradiction had a baby. Don’t understand the initial negative reviews for this one? It rules. 

Father to a Son is a beautiful track. Can see this one getting played towards the end of their upcoming sets. Beautiful melodies and strings. Tears inbound. 

Saviors features Billie singing through a telephone esq filter for the verses and transitions in a big chorus “Calling all Saviors!” It’s good but nothing special to me at the moment. Maybe it’ll grow on me. 

Fancy Sauce is the soft acoustic riff we saw Billie playing on the Instagram teasers ages ago. Been looking forward to hearing this song for what seems like forever. Transitions in a bigger sounding song for the chorus. “We all die young someday”. Some funny and wacky lyrics on this one as well. “Watch the evening news cos it’s my favourite cartoon” “Going to join a cult, do a somersault”. It’s a slower finisher but still big and loud. 

Anyways those are my initial thoughts!!
