New album - Saviors - Out January 19th

Okay, since Saviors is looking backward, forward and in all directions....what about a deluxe version of 39/Smooth with some of those song nuggets that never got recorded proper or at all? The songs performed live in 87-89.   Sprinkle some AI on them or real 2023 Green Day and boom.  Multiple songs like The Beatles Now and Then.

Anyway.  I'm ready to hear Saviors and savor it, but really I just wanna get a leak of Album 18. 

I look into the future / I am an album moocher/ are they there?  are they there?

My son keeps telling me to say shit instead of poop when we're singing along, because I'm a grownup.   On an unrelated note, Green Day shall release their 30th Album when the members turn 100.    I wanted them to make MY 100th birthday party, but seeing as I was born in 19-19-1985, Green Day may be too old to perform for my big celebration.  A lot could happen either way between now and 2085 so we'll see.

That's because it started as 1,972 Bratwursts, turned into Do Da Da Part 2 for a second and then when Tre Cool took Billie's writing ketchup and poured it over the masters of Cigerettes and Valentines.....Fancy Sauce was born!!!!

This is the only theory that makes sense. It was going to be called 1972 as it fits with the description that is given for the album, but because the album was delayed so much by various means and it wouldn't be their 50th birthdays or what have you, they decided to change it. 
Unless there is some other reason they decided to change it? Just thought Saviors would fit better? Maybe it is just as simple as that.

Yup entirely possible. 

I know Billie was back into drinking around the time of Foam but at that point it was a new thing that was happening. 

With the pandemic that probably evolved into an ugly scenario and then things open up with the tour a year later and who knows how that really went behind the scenes.

I think the project evolved past what the initial thought or idea was and hence the name changed. 

I won’t say it’s exactly a C&V situation but they did take their time and chased down something more focused and cohesive.

Considering rehab was mentioned I assume that must have been a prime reason, the Dilemma teaser we have sounds basically finished and considering according to greenday.fm, the session ended Oct 2022 it's assumed that as well they waited an entire extra year because then having a zombie themed promotion would fit better in October. 
But yeah what you said is probably the highest candidate.

It's definitely not a C&V situation because that entire album was scrapped, and the original teasers featured clips of Look Ma No Brains, 1981, and Dilemma

Have Green Day stepped up their security around album masters?  Even then, it's tricky because nobody knows what the Network guys look like.  They could BE the security guys.....oh...my...gosh....I think I just figured out how they did it!!!!!!
