some big european (rock) festivals announce their headliners/line up in ~2 weeks, perfect timing for a green day headliner announcement

and the card/flyer you are refering to reads like "US stadium shows in summer 2024, eu/uk you are next", in the meaning of they will first play shows in europe and then the US shows

my guess is something like may/june/july europe/uk and july/august/september US

just listened to the new song for the very first time

i am really enjoying it so far, its nothing mind-blowing, but a good one for sure, the "cuts" between the different parts are maybe too "hard"

i would like to get a sense of what the new album will sound like, but we all know that you cant judge the sound of a greenday album by its lead single 😅

glad we get the single release on tuesday, hopefully all the juicy stuff will unveil on tuesday (album information, tour information, etc)

and a personal wish is that we get some fast paced songs, high bpm songs, but ofc nothing wrong with more "grounded" songs

I really hope they won’t just play festivals in Europe. That would be a massive downer. The festivals that can afford Green Day are usually super expensive and it’s just a different crowd and experience. Rock am Ring is right around the corner from where I live, but I seriously doubt that could afford to pay 300+ € just to see Green Day. But let’s see, I still think/hope it’ll be a proper European tour this time.

Major major credit to the marketing team this time around. FOAM marketing was a disaster and this is a complete 180, great modern way of teasing and getting people geared up for music from the website to giving away some single vinyls last night

Just heard the live song.  I'm cool with it.  For me it could be in my top five or not.  However I enjoyed it and i'll be blasting it when drops next week.  Now as far as the album goes, as long as they got some fast punk rock songs.  I'm game as usual.

A mix between a few fast songs, middle fast songs and one or two ballads would be very fine.

I don’t think they would’ve given it out if they didn’t want this to happen tbh, not endorsing leaks but I think this is part of the plan
