TJChrobo Posted September 28, 2023 Share Posted September 28, 2023 So, I was listening to The Go Go’s 2001 album God Bless the Go Go’s this morning and I was really digging the second track “Unforgiven.” I was thinking the verse sounded like Green Day’s “Back in the USA” verse and that the track in general sounded very Green Day-ish. Well wouldn’t you know it, Billie Joe co-wrote the song, plays guitar on it, and contributes back ups. Does anyone feel his vibe on this song too? What about compared to “Back in the USA”? Not sure how many people are aware of this tidbit of information, but it was fun to accidentally stumble upon while we are getting hyped for new music.
