In that case I do still wonder why it was not with the whole band but maybe the other band members did not want to travel from the beginning. I am glad he is healthy and look forward to seeing him again when things are better.

If he was exposed last Friday or Saturday and he has no symptoms and tested negative as late as Wednesday he’s most likely in the clear. If the same is true as of today than most certainly he didn’t catch it. People now are showing symptoms within 2-3 days of exposure. But it’s possible he could be negative Thursday and positive if he traveled Friday so I get why he’s not going (but still very unlikely at this point 6-7 days out)

Virginia Lot Lizard Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 I wish he’d played the show because this NYE was so boring. But I’m glad he’s staying safe that’s more important. His NYE looked really boring based on his Instagram stories. I love when he gets so bored he turns around completely and there’s a crazy amount of output and random weird stuff like crashing parties or attending events or starting new bands or performing randomly for fun. I miss the tours and stories and music releases. I hope he does something interesting soon. I am disappointed he couldn’t play the Miami New Years Eve party but safety so much more important.

It seems like this Miami appearance would have been exciting/not prerecorded/not done remotely. Still feeling disappointed. I was so looking forward to whatever it was going to be. Better to be boring than dangerous at this point in time. Praying the pandemic is over soon and we all get through this safely. Much rather Billie Joe and the band (and fans) are safe and boring right now. There better be some massive parties and shows when this is all over. If boring is the new normal even after the pandemic I’m giving up. The best part about being a Green Day fan is the band being excited, new music, surprises, the side projects and the crazy fandom. Hopefully he’ll share something exciting very soon. So far the most exciting thing has been a deleted clip of a new cover and that got us going. I can’t wait until he drops some sort of bomb (and doesn’t delete it).
