I’m being really negative and I don’t think anything great will happen next week. I want to be proven wrong so bad. I’m sick of being a complaining grouchy fan. I don’t want to be like this! 

I can’t wait any longer for actual news and hopefully a new single. If it comes out next week everyone will be so happy and I will be really happy to be wrong!

It would be cool if they posted a cryptic Instagram post tomorrow indicating a major announcement Monday. The Offspring did this few weeks ago to announce their US tour with sum 41 and simple plan.

Which hasn't come out today either as far as I can tell.  I do have some inside sources.  Could go down to the record store and ask the clerk.  😄 

Wikipedia, my other good buddy, says no album is coming.  But Wiki is kind of rude.  One time I asked him about Simple Plan and he said their page was deleted due to the gayness of the band.  What the heck, Wik?  You can't be saying that.  Not cool.

Two points:

The biggest sign that Green Day will release something new will come when Billie Joe returns to Instagram, I guess.

I think they don't release lead singles on Fridays because streaming time zones often get in the way of promotion.

If Tre's broken drumsticks post was from a rehearsal, then something is really on the way, because they wouldn't be together practicing the setlist 3 months prior to the next show.

 

So at least some kind of change on the Hella Mega greatest hits is coming.
