Unless they absolutely love this new stuff, I imagine they would just put one 1972 song in the place of Pollyanna.

I almost completely forget that GR is a Nimrod song too.. to me now that's just that thing they do at the end of a show.

It's not even played with the same meaning it was intended to have, and honestly I don't think I'd miss it if they stopped playing it live haha.

You're right about Good Riddance as well.   Now that I think about it, Hitchin A Ride kind of feels separate too.  Maybe it's because Nimrod has so much disjointed sounds and also, I'm such a sucker for the deep cuts on that one.

Know Your Enemy, Brain Stew, King For a Day and sometimes Wake Me Up When September Ends could be cut which makes a space available for 4-5 songs

Im really curious on what the set is going to look like at the show im going to in September in FL. Not part of Hella Mega and also no opening band for now.

If that happens, then they're just a legacy touring act at that point. Might as well start booking the casinos and state fairs.

Residency in Vegas, and they cut Green Day's set short every single night.

Oh, man.

Well, they do have a casino show booked later this year…

Same with Austin in October. I’m hoping for a fan’s set or even a new song.

The Florida show is the casino… it will be the hits/testing the waters for the Las Vegas residency

Don't forget, Lollapalooza at the end of July

That’s a festival crowd though. These others are shows for just their audience so they could be something other than greatest hits shows.

How many tracks do you think 1972 will have?

Do you think it'll be less than average amount like FOAM (10 songs or *shudders* less?)

An average amount for a Green Day record (12 to 13 songs)

Or above average amount like 21st Century. (15 or more.)

They've been recording for a while but I don't think that has to do with album length. I see this album having the standard 12 tracks. Maybe more since he has time to write more while they tour. I'm predicting 12-14 tracks. I wouldn't mind a double album though.

I'm expecting it to be 12-14 tracks. And how much of it they play depends on if they keep on trying to play stadiums or not.

They're always going to play stadiums. Around the album release period, there definitely will be the secret shows at small clubs where they play the album in full

I doubt they will play many stadiums in a regular tour, Not in the US at least. Stadium shows in RevRad era were just a few and none of them sold out, the tickets sales were pretty average

If they go back to doing solo arena tours we can probably go back to the typical 6 songs from whatever album they're promoting and maybe one or two deep cuts. If they continue to do big package stadium tours there is no chance.

If you read my comment, you probably saw that I pointed out tha GD has had difficulties to sell out stadiums in US, right? And that I doubt thre will be many solo shows in stadiums because of that.

I didn't say there will be none

He said it on stage during HAR (there’s a video in the show thread). It’s consistent with what he told Kerrang that he might be moving there for at least part time.
