I'm really expecting (and hoping LOL) that falsetto gets left behind as the rest of the FOAM sound seems to be. 🤣

Handclaps too 😆

I believe that Green Day are really focusing on pleasing the majority of fans, like they are doing with their "Biggest Hits" concerts, and that they are carrying that idea over to 1972.    So based on how we've spent out money and time, 1972 is going to sound like Dookie with some American Idiot-esue flare to it.    Maybe a drop or two of modern pop music to perhaps get the attention of younger fans.

Could this be the final look back before the followup to 21 CB?

I'd be good with that.

Or even Green Day making a boy-band side project.

When was the last time the actually used Blue in studio? The production is shaping up to be a Green Day fan’s wet dream

Could it be they're finally doing that thing they said they'd never do and are giving the fans what they want? 😀  I also thought Blue was only used for performances these days and had been retired from the studio long ago.

I wonder if they're doing main L&R guitar tracks with Blue going into Rob Cavallo's Marshall.. (the Dookie amp). Nothing beats that sound
