Little Boy Named Booze Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 I don't care about Fantano but if you judge an album by a critic guy on Youtube without even giving it a listen then you can't have an opinion on an album.

Work call over and i’ve listened to these 3 times now. i love it. Love the little synth part/sample.

I think crunchier guitars and less vocal filter could help. But at least there’s a message being conveyed and actual lyrics to chew on. It’s not “pump-ass” (to use an old GDC-ism) but Billie’s approaching 50, he’s probably going to mellow a bit. I don’t necessarily see that as a bad thing. Just as long as he’s writing songs about something, unlike HCTS.

But I think that the contrast between the verse guitars and the chorus guitars could be bigger, so it sounds more exiting
steve46 Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 I am praying for a new concept album like AI or 21CB for years now. There is so much to „say“ nowadays. I hope someday they will put all their energy and all their statements in one last huge concept album!
Squashie Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 I wanted to take a some time to listen to it and digest, but overall I like it. It's poppy for sure, but no hand claps (!) and the little whistle at the end is some nice unexpected ear candy. Overall, I like it and it will be played. I might even add it to my workout playlist for a nice tempo change.
pacejunkie punk Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 It's a simple song but also it's a really well crafted song. It also captures a feeling I can relate to. It plays to his strengths.
Flashback Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Soo which conspiracies do we have about the hot dog?

Duhhan1023 Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 This is how it should sound with good production: my issues with the last two tracks are the lazy production and the generic playing.
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 My theory is that they saw how passionate their fans are about bratwurst so they decided to entertain the idea.

Well, it was released with the hella mega (re)announcement thats happening at ballparks, and hotdogs are consumed (in mass) at said venues. That's my non-conspiracy. Or what Beerjeezus said above 🤷♀️

Bakabanas Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 It all started with Bratwurst, which was continued by my one-liner Bratwurst in Your Coffeemaker, and ended with a sausage picture on Green Day video? Are you serious? This is the most awesome thing that happened this year. Now, what's next? Amyl nitrate merchandise?
DookieLukie Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 70% of Network songs were better than this and Billie hid them with a side project. Why?

Gonzalo17 Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 Here come's the shock is better and more Greendayish
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 HCTS blew FRA out of the water in terms of how bad can a GD song get, so now I’m only dreading whatever is going to make HCTS “not that bad after all”.
vladiclas Posted May 18, 2021 Posted May 18, 2021 In Discogs web is said the song Pollyana was released in Crush music records, this Green day has broken with warner definitely?

I don’t think they have, they just have a differently structured deal now with more freedom to release whatever they want
