He's seemed more cautious since the IHeartRadio incident and honestly gets more and more guarded with each year. RevRad interviews were less open than Trilogy and FOAMF interviews felt like he wanted to say as little as possible.
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Maybe it’s a mix of him not enjoying being interviewed much and the fact that most recent interviews with him weren’t very thought-provoking and it’s no surprise that he’s not sharing more than he has to when he’s asked the same questions over and over and he can get through it with answers he most likely already remembers word for word.

Yeah I could think of so many better questions to ask, but I get that interviewers need to make sure the basic info is mentioned, so they end up asking “So, you have a new record coming out, right?” “And then you’re going on tour, eh?” and in the remaining time, they usually go for “Are you still enjoying this after all these years?” which at that point is a legitimate question because Billie’s there like: “Yes, we put out a new record. It’s so exciting. “ I have no idea. Is TV back to normal? Maybe someone who watches Kimmel regularly would know what the custom is these days.
