I agree, I will never get tired of hearing Basket Case, especially when the mix sounds as good as here.

And finally: Billie Joe CAN age

He’s going through a rough time. Hopefully he will take out the trash and get rid of whatever is draining him. He needs a fresh start and a new scene. Kinda impossible during a worldwide pandemic. He’s amazing. He will bounce back. Also he looked like shitty double his age hell in his mugshot and that was 20 years ago and then two years later he was the mega hottie American Idiot era Billie. Same with he looked bored and kinda jaded during Rev Rad and then let loose and turned into a mega hottie for the new Longshot era. He’s def got a cycle and is kinda a chameleon who changes to his environment.

He needs a fresher more exciting less draining environment. He needs to let go of whatever is draining him. His physical appearance has always looked like an open book of what he’s going through.

On another note: Mike and Tre look amazing and happy!

I think the FOAM era is now officially over since Billie didn‘t wear the leopard print jacket anymore (btw I think that it was really cool, was looking for one last summer but didn‘t find a single one that looked even half as good as Billie‘s)

it looks like they went straight back into the RevRad era again lmao 😄

It's gonna be last ride in three times in a row with BJ saying "hi we're the longshot" and "bye" like jaded 94

You were very close there! They played the instrumental part to "Holiday" 2x and the "Basket Case" instrumental section 3x!! 😦

Not sure I agree with everything you say here but I do think it must have been really odd having no audience at all, we know they feed off the crowd and can see the difference when it’s a performance like iheart with a sort of GD crowd.  Also, I think Billie is one of those people whose face shows every pound he gains or loses and, like most of us, he’s gained a couple of lockdown pounds I think.

Looking back at this performance again and it was perfect. Billie Joe can age but he's still fucking amazing.

well yeah, of course, he is 48. But he still sounds great which is more important :).

He looks great and sounds great.

Mike and Tre look great and happy and had great energy. That was a great performance on all the levels.

That performance is a wonderful treat. So well done too. Editing, sound, the way it looked, the band’s performance, everything.

Where's Kevin and Jason Freese at?

They definitely were going for a more subdued look of a few years back, it’s just not the time for the party vibe of FOAM and not sure it will be again. I also never get tired of Basket Case because Tre’s drums are 🔥🔥🔥

I remember someone said Still Breathing is a lame feelgood song and he doesn’t want to play it anymore. So that makes it an even more pleasant surprise, because I assumed they chucked it from the setlist for good. :P

He’s always full of shit 😄 At the time he said that I think people were okay with the idea of feeling bad but after the year we’ve had, it’s okay to want songs that make you feel good again. It’s like famous last words he probably regrets now.

Does it feel like the band and their fans all woke up from a collective fever dream  involving a unicorn, a pile of cocaine and a lot of leopard print? FOAM? What was that? No, RevRad was our last album... the details are kind of fuzzy... how did I get here?

That was such a great performance!

Nothing about the performance on Official channels yet?

We needed this performance. It does indeed feel like a rest after the past year. The fangirl in me was hoping for fluffier blacker hair, but it still looks fabulous here, as do Mike and Tre. And it was a great performance! I have feeling we have a lot to look forward to from Green Day in the near future. Anyway, I don't think you could pick three more appropriate songs for the moment we are in LOL.

ahh i wished to see billie with his fluffy network hair :D

like you guys mentioned, its insane how young tré and mike look, just exactly like in 2004-times (billie is getting a bit old :D )

its really emotional to watch them perform in these hard times, it makes you happy to see them, but its unsure when we will all actually see them again live at a show, its one of the things i miss most, being at a show of my favorite bands 😕

Yeah, the party vibe of FOAM would feel out of touch during a pandemic

I really liked the performance, the songs sounded great.  I only noticed his way similar to the American Idol presentation in 2007.

I really don't get people saying Billie looks like he is aging. I mean, I think the hair style ages him a little, but if you look just at his face, he kinda has a chubby, fresh-faced Warning-era look. I think he actually looks more youthful than he did in FOAM.

I know I do not see people saying that Mike looks young. 🙈

I thought all of them looked amazing. But Billie hasn't been seen since his last selfie before taking down his instagram - so understandable that we're all curious about his appearance.

And it’s quite a drastic change from that photo

I am glad to see him groomed. I don't love the slicked-back hair though. Was hoping for FOAM fluff. But he looks happy and healthy. Love those chubby Warning cheeks. ❤️

I think they just need fans on their concerts (pandemic fucked up everything). Example:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6GfshKtKmM

This show is awesome and it kinda gives those 90’s show felling.

Just watched the YouTube video posted a couple pages back. I hope to god they will release footage of just the songs with no football stuff over them. That was annoying as hell. We have waited who knows how long to see Green Day play again and then they not only show barely any footage of them playing, but have the audacity to drown out the music. I know this is football honors, but come on! You don't do that to halftime show performers or musicians playing other events. Looked like a really outstanding performance. Too bad I couldn't enjoy the full thing. I guess they don't care about Green Day fans who are watching to see their favorite band and don't really care about football.

I'm sorry if I'm salty. I was in a bad mood to begin with and this was just the cherry on top.

I think what you might be interested in is a Green Day concert, not an NFL awards show. They gave Green Day a lot of time and spotlight for a probably paid gig. Halftime show, the artist pays to put it on, so they give them the spotlight. This also WASN'T a halftime SHOW, it was a montage.
