But he was right next to me when it started and kept turning up the sound and started bouncing on the sofa throughout. We both enjoyed seeing and hearing them. What a treat!

I liked their outfits, but whoever lied to Billie and told him his hair looked good needs their ass whooped. Billie’s singing was abnormally good. If I didn’t know any I’d think it was autotuned. Sounded super polished and clean and maybe even like they put a little reverb on it.

I just missed seeing it “live,” but the performance seemed really strong. “Still Breathing” caught me by surprise, but it was perfectly appropriate.

pacejunkie punk Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 It’s possible for covid reasons they just stuck to the bare minimum number of players, so just a four piece. They definitely mixed and tweaked that audio it sounded great, and Billie changed his guitar halfway through so several takes here and edited together but that’s okay, they produced a really polished video

I'm not a huge fan of Still Breathing but i think it sounded great. I think someone definitely went in there to clean up the vocals. It was almost too perfect, I haven't heard them that on key in a recording since, well, probably Awesome as Fuck. I also miss Kevin.

Of course I hated all the football in between but a really tight performance. Absolutely loved it. But I also missed Kevin.

michael1989 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Sounds like I'm in the minority but I thought it was a pretty forgettable performance. Holiday's been done way better and Still Breathing is one of their weaker songs.

There would be more focus on how NFL B-Roll was playing over the performance, or how it was a medley. That being said; to see Green Day doing what they do best, or hell just to see a new performance with the energy of a concert and not a depressing as hell at-home performance is fantastic.

Yeah, I wasn't getting too hyped about this performance because I was like, eh, why are they so desperate to get into sports recently (the kinda aborted NHL partnership last year) because idgaf about sports, but watching tonight just felt so good, like maybe one day we'll actually be able to see them again 💓 Billie aged a little bit in the pandemic (still looks good, I think part of it is the hairstyle), but Christ, Mike looks exactly like he did in the 21CB era. Insane.
