Why Don't You Like Nimrod?

Okay update: what is wrong with you guys? this is one of the best on the album! the chorus is the best part! That Dude is a total opposite person as me. If you guys think haushinka sucks then you haven't listened to their newest release, Father Of All Motherfuckers. That "EP masquerading as an album" (Tre's Busted Drumkit called it that, I agree with him) is really so bad that it makes me wanna buy a weezer album to get into them and forget green day, that's how bad FOAMF was.

The verses are way better than the chorus. The best part is the bridge and the instrumental break that follows. But the chorus is the easiest part to get into. The song slaps though. 9.5/10 in my book.

I like to pretend that FOAMF doesn't exist. I'm still in denial. (Even that album has some decent/good songs).

And "I love Weezer. Weezer's great"- Not an Incel, 2020.

yeah what the hell is up with all this Haushinka hate? that's easily one of my favorite songs on the record

sincerely asking, btw. I don't understand what's not to like about it- feels like a quintessential Green Day deep cut to me

It's just @That Dude that doesn't like the song.

I don't like the placement of the harmonies in the chorus. Feels awkward and forced. I love the song as a whole.

You guys are making me pause my korn CD for this, now I have to look up haushinka and listen again cause I don't remember that song sucking, I thought that good riddance was the lame one on the album.

It's cool, we all have different taste.  I guarantee not any two of us would rank every song in the same order.

Haushinka is not terrible, it's just my least favorite Green Day tune.   Green Day are so awesome that even their worst songs are decent.

We do appear to be total opposites, because I feel that FOAM is flawless.  Perfect.   And I already own all the Weezer albums, and rock out to them often.

I hope that Weezer release an album like FOAM and it's just the greatest thing ever.

Blue album with ketchup on it and all.   And they've already mastered falsetto so it could work.

Nerd of all Nerds.

The only problem that I See in Haushinka is that is connected with Jinx... Haushinka, Uptight and Scattered are my favorites Nimrod tracks... Followed by suffocate and desensitized (never understood why they were taken away from the definitive tracklist)

I love listening to Haushinka mostly because of the drums. Probably the best Tré's ever recorded.

who dont like nimrod? and who the hell is tre cool?

Nimrod is depressing.

It reminds me that I have to grow up and be an adult.

In fact, that seems to be the entire theme of the album. A good amount of the songs on there are about an aspect of adult life.

It is probably my most listened to Green Day album and the one that I associate most with their sound. It has a little bit of everything and I love that about it.

I don't think they were taken away, I think they were just songs that didn't make the cut that they then decided to add exclusively to the Australian release of the album as a bonus (along with Do Da Da and You Lied).

Someone that none of us are as cool as. Because think about it. You have to be really damn cool to literally have it in your name.

All jokes aside, Tre Cool is the current drummer for Green Day, the first record he played on was Kerplunk! I believe. He was a replacement for former drummer, John Kiffmeyer.

I started freaking running as soon as me feet touched ground.

I'm back in the barrio but you...and me....

That's Jingletown

Good Riddance is the black spot of the album.  (and King for a Day is not my favorite. I have to be in the mood for that one, otherwise it's annoying).

I really think these are the two best. Good Riddance suffered from being massively overplayed and taken way out of context, but that does not change the fact that it is a beautiful and deep song. And King for a Day is deliciously sexy and musically brilliant. And it does not hurt that Billie strips when he performs it.

I'm not a Haushinka fan either. I think the drums are too much, they drown out a lot of the verses. I think the chorus is actually better because that's when I feel it gets going - and then you're back to all the drums for the verse again  It's my least favourite on the album.

Nimrod is generally one of the most loved green day albums. It's just not on most people's #1

Personally I really like the lyrics in Nimrod and I always loved Haushinka.

Nimrod is their best album.

Replying to someone telling them to die, particularly when they've said nothing insulting or provoking to you, is unacceptable. If you can't be respectful towards others members you won't be welcome here, if it happens again you'll be suspended.

Yeah sorry for making a lighthearted joke, I didn't realize that would be taken as offensive.

I'll always love it! My second favorite Green Day album next to AI.

Honest answer: It’s easier to listen to Dookie rather than Nimrod in full without stopping, but the standout tracks on Nimrod beat out the ones on Dookie easily.

Cheeky answer:

I don't like Nimrod because I hate good things that are good.

Randomly telling a stranger "die" out of nowhere isn't a lighthearted joke. If you weren't trying to be offensive I'm glad but think before posting in future please.

I'm sorry I don't mean to be so rude but do you think you're the authority on what jokes are and aren't now? Come on, it's one thing to enforce the rules but it's not cool to tell me whether or not what I said was a joke. I probably know a hell of a lot more than you about whether or not what I said was a joke because, I'm the one who said it, I'm the one who thought to say it, I would know way more about my own intent than anyone else.

Die you fucking cunt.

It's a joke. I know it's a joke because I wrote it.
