DookieLukie Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 I think MM2020 Pt. 1 is probably the more tonally consistent album in terms of a concept and sound, but this album has more diverse songs. Too many joke songs IMO. I think this is really just a vessell for Green Day to experiment and not so much a fully thought out concept.

It's pretty clear they had so much fun experimenting and recording it and I love the variety! Can't wait to listen a few more times but my favorite new ones after first listen (or those that stood out more) are: Asphyxia Degenerate Respirator That's How They Get You Cancer Is The New Black Hey Elon Popper Punk Jerry Falwell's Pool Party Heard Imunity Threat Level Midnight Amnesia Vagabond Art of The Deal With The Devil That's a lot LOL I'm VERY pleased and can't wait to dance and work out to these tomorrow.

Judging by comments in this thread, Green Day could fart in a microphone and 98% of the people here would buy it and say it's great.

What a marketing genius I am Honestly, sometimes the border betweeen a joke and non-joke song is very narrow, because the obviously jokey songs are bangers too.

I'm convinced Degenerate would have been a hit single, it has everything they tried for and failed with the FOAM track. I can't even understand why it isn't a featured track for The Network.
