pacejunkie punk Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 I felt like they had lost that with RevRad and I really wanted to see the fun back. I missed the silliness. The Back in the USA video was a bit of that but then FOAM had such an air of desperation about it. Fun to dance to but not really light. Good timing for The Network. 4 Quote
Elxufinnishidiot Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Imagine if Green Day did an album with strings in like every song. Right now Weezer is doing that with their upcoming album "Okay Human", I think. 1 Quote

The only thing from FOAM that really did anything for me was Sugar Youth. Everything else was meh at best imo. But yes, this new network stuff feels really fun and it seems like they're genuinely having fun with it too, so I'm all for it. 1 minute ago, Elxufinnishidiot said: Imagine if Green Day did an album with strings in like every song. I thought that was just some dumb shitposting joke in the weezer facebook group lmao Just now, Little Boy Named Booze said: Damn I can't follow anything anymore when I leave for an hour. what's the last thing you remember? I can try and update, but the main gist is new song Ivankka Is A Nazi and reactions. Quote

aahhhh Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 This has probably already been mentioned, but just in case it wasn't, looks like there's a wiki page for the new album. Some of the info seems believable (studio, label, recording dates). Quote
jengd Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 One comment on YouTube suggests the album title Quarantine Quarantine 2020 😂😂 1 minute ago, aahhhh said: This has probably already been mentioned, but just in case it wasn't, looks like there's a wiki page for the new album. Tubbie Head Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Checked my YouTube notifications and just burst out laughing. ICONIC 😂 1 Quote
GuitarPunk94 Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 ok, even after several listens, this song is flawless, its easily one of their top (and "punk") songs they did in the last decade, i really hope they stick to this sound this time! 4 Quote

Boobooo Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 So I believe in TUT and The Countdown's On too. I was just listening to the little clip we have of the latter and my God do I hope and pray this is a real song. The first half is creepy and eerie and I love it, and then the guitars in the second half are beautiful. Especially the guitar in the left channel, it just adds so much even though it's a fairly simple strumming pattern. I just want to hear the whole thing! Aaaarhh!! Quote
green day is Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 I noticed the wiki page but decided it wasn't even worth commenting on. The only "citation" for it links to the video for The Prophecy. Quote
