There’s no way TUT would be more of a stylistic adventure than Ivankkka even if it was real. It’s a standard rock song - a fun one at that, but it would be nothing out of GD’s comfort zone. It’s just that it’s the kind of a fast and energetic rock song that they might come up with and it still sounds fresh. I love Ivankkka, though. I still wish it was released as Green Day.

Well tbh I think the chords after „too many years since you’ve been gone“ in the chorus would have been very unusual for Green Day, because they sort of slow down the energy of the song right in the middle of the chorus 😅

Ikr, like it was such a terrible thing we did 🙄 Personally I enjoyed the mystery and puzzling it out I don’t really care how it turned out (except for the fact that I lost $20 in a bet but hey, @Todd earned it 😂) You don’t see me complaining.

I do genuinely think Ivankkka is a Nazi is one (if not the most) experimental output the band has ever done, in terms of lyrics, song structure, instrumentals and even vocals, so I'm super excited about this album and I truly hope they keep going out of their comfort zone in the future. This. I wouldn’t say a word if they were experimenting like this as Green Day, but their keeping the interesting stuff for side projects makes me think good straightforward rock songs are the best I can hope for. (I like FOAM, but I wouldn’t say it’s experimental.)

Turns out, Billie’s self-esteem can take a lot and that shouldn’t surprise us!
