That Dude Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 It must be super easy to play bass. Pukey Dirnt is able to play it with hooves instead of hands. LA LA LA LA LA Also, I don't think that question mark was correct. Not a question. The song is STATING that he is wondering. GRAMMAR. GRAMMER. GRAMMER. Quote

CocaColaX Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 Has kind of a ‘synthi’ sound to it, reminiscent of The Network. His voice sounds really really good too.😍 1 3 Quote
dirnt286 Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 Did the band record this? This sounds much higher fidelity and technically improved playing (drums) than his other releases. Its gotta be more than a home demo. 1 Quote

Red Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 I am a huge fan of the new "Kids in America" cover. It's got a beautiful clean sound, but without losing that dirtiness and iconic sound that GD is known for and is exactly the kind of sound I'd love to hear in a new album. This one seems to take a few iconic pop elements of the original song by Kim Wilde and take most of the inspiration from the cover that The Muffs did, which I am also a pretty big fan of. Naturally my only complaint would probably be the outro was much shorter than it should be and seemed to have less energy, but overall I am so happy with this, and it's a great example of how good Billie can sound when his voice isn't overly processed, so I hope he's taking some notes. 1 1 Quote

killjoywhatsername Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 I love this cover so much. I wish they would release all of them on Spotify. 3 1 Quote
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 I hope this quarantine gets Billie famous. It’s too late for him to become the next Shirley Temple, but he can still have a solo career. 3 1 Quote
Insomniac1984 Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Two days ago I was thinking about Billie doing this cover.... and it happened!! 😂😃 3 Quote

Yosuke Hanamura Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 I demand a cover of Animal Crackers in my Soup. One of the crackers was a rabbit, Green Day has the drunk bunny, it works. 3 Quote

I hope he Becomes the Next Shirlie Temple and that's what people think of him as. imagine the interviews.....Billie Joe, how does it feel to be the modern world's Ms. Temple.....Billie looks perplexed....then.....in his best kid's voice, he says "...Wonderful!" 1 Quote
The Grohl Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 This is great! Again, Billie has the talent to turn a song I find annoying into something great! This is one of the best ones so far! 2 Quote
jengd Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 I agree so much with @Red, love to hear Billie so loud and clear in the mix. Is it just him doing backing vocals, nobody else is credited on a YouTube but it doesn’t all sound like him to me? 1 Quote
Slave To The Network Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Typical Billie forgetting the "e" in "life". Easy to do, but it's just so him. Excellent cover, though! I love that we got to see his hands and handwriting. 1 Quote

Joe. Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 This is definitely my favourite, as it’s a song I already loved. Nirvana and FF have also covered it a lot so it’s cool to here another artist give it a go Quote
