Little Boy Named Booze Posted April 21, 2020 Author Posted April 21, 2020 This cover was pretty great. I've never heard of that song before yesterday. I love the nostalgia in this clip. Quote

I answered your question. I'm not being funny or trying to be a smart ass. The video is literally on the first page of this thread. It's been charting for 2 or 3 weeks already and Montclare has been posting the charting results in this thread for it. 34 minutes ago, Little Boy Named Booze said: This cover was pretty great. It should be available on most rental streaming services (amazon, apple). Quote

It’s about a fictional Beatles type band. Similar idea to These Paper Bullets (only not based on a Shakespeare play) 1 1 Quote

Sounds like my kind of film, I just might check it out. I just finished listening to Fountains of Wayne and they are my #189 favorite band out of 230. My favorite tracks are "Hey Julie", "Stacy's Mom", "Hung up on You" and "Mexican Wine". Quote

Popular Post That Dude Posted April 21, 2020 Popular Post Posted April 21, 2020 I wonder if every one of these will be covers. It would be cool if Billie pulled out something we've never heard before. A demo, unreleased song. Maybe if he's in the mood, improvise something on the spot. That last option would be cool because we could see the song evolve to it's final form. Heck, for us hardcore fans It would be cool to see a live stream of Billie in the studio working on things. 5 Quote
Gonzalo17 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 "What thing you do" the best and more Greendayish song of #nofunmondays... possible colaboration of Tre and Mike?? Quote
michael1989 Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 That Thing You Do sounds the most Longshot'y of the covers released so far. Could have fit seamlessly into that record. My rankings: 1. Manic Monday 2. That Thing You Do 3. I Think We're Alone Now 4. You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory 5. Corpus Christi 2 Quote
Little Boy Named Booze Posted April 22, 2020 Author Posted April 22, 2020 I think we're alone now is still my favorite by far! Quote

Corpus Christi That’s because Billie and Adam Schlesinger both had the same homework assignment — to write songs for a fictional Beatles band — and they both did very well. I agree with your ranking too Quote
