I’m from UK so don’t know if it’s not coming up for me. 8 hours ago, Yosuke Hanamura said: Video is up! Its in downloads on the forum here, you can't see it otherwise in the UK. This isn't really the right place I guess, but look what's popped up on YouTube, audio only but it's great quality. (Performance with Kevin and Bean in 2009).
Jorgemas Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 After comparing the performances 2009 and 2019 you can see how bad gd new music and new era is. In 2009 90 percent was from new album, and in 2019 they didn’t even play second single. The two singles if you compare with 21stbd suck really badly
Hyperion Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 I'm going to have to agree even though I've been trying to convince myself that they are actually really good😞
Jorgemas Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Too I’m so used to see Billie without guitar now that he looking awkward with it

And that now, 21CB songs are religated to just KYE?

Yosuke Hanamura Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Can someone break down what I said? I’m not sure how to simplify it.

jengd Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Just finished watching the video download and it was great, I thought the band sounded fab and the energy was amazing, loved the Revrad stuff and Foam. Need to visit fangirl thread though 😅

When you only have 30 minutes to play with the back catalogue that is there, they covered a wide range of eras (roughly 30 years of material). My guess is that they choose this setlist because the show was 30 years old and they've been a band for 30+. The years active are similar. How many singles from 21CB had been released the last time they did this show and was the album already out? That makes a difference in how many "new" songs are played. FOAMf (album) isn't out for another 3 months and FRA doesn't appear to be an "official" single as a video hasn't been released.

DookieLukie Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Billie seems to be singing more like his old style, with the slurs and snarly vocals. Sort of like Nimrod + AI style. I love that. Wish he sang that way on the new songs and album cuts.
paperlanterns22 Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 I died on that last “fucked up and spun out in my room” on Brain Stew 😂😂😂
Flashback Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 Wtf an Austrian free newspaper wrote an article about how drunk Billie was at that show and that he was too drunk to sing Brain Stew properly 🤔

To me this article is really rude. https://www.heute.at/s/green-day-so-lallt-billie-joe-bei-42678681 Thank you, I learned at least two or three new ways to say "drunk" from this It is rude though, especially when nothing really happened. But at least I remembered to watch the performance thanks to this and I'm so impressed - they sound incredible, better than they've done in years. Billie's vocals are so good. I didn't think he sounded that bad recently, but he has improved a lot.
