WhiteTim Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Weird to see Billie wasn’t using a wireless system for his guitar during the indoor performance
Rumpelstiltskin2000 Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 There's an article here about GD's performance but I'm unable to access it from the UK: https://www.stltoday.com/entertainment/music/photos-green-day-performs-free-pre-game-nhl-all-star/collection_e5ab3030-68bb-5af0-800e-22f18594823b.html

pacejunkie punk Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 A classic act of self sabotage — The Replacements would be proud I can’t help but wonder if this is payback for whatever happened with the outdoor show. How pissed are NBC right now? I guess if you don’t know this band by now when you sign a deal with them it’s a you problem. He’s not fucking Justin Bieber motherfuckers!
The Grohl Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Lol at these comments! What did people really expect? Do you really think Green Day is gonna change it? They didn't even want to change it for Walmart.
The Grohl Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Some of my favorite shots I took: Wow look at trending
stefand11 Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 was the response because they cut his mic during the swear words during AI?

JardyOfSuburbia Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 I feel bad for the people who froze outside and felt let down by the short set, but it seems like this did what it was supposed to do. People were talking about it. It was trending all over twitter and any publicity is good publicity right? They also sounded great.
Squashie Posted January 26, 2020 Author Posted January 26, 2020 Someone a few pages back asked who “this Bettman guy is.“ That would be Gary Bettman, the commissioner of the NHL. Fans hate him. HIlarious that Billie dropped f-bombs! F-words get through on game casts all of time from players because they have mics around the ice to capture game sounds. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “get the fuck out of the way” from a player.
Miko Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 I bet all of my money for the fact that Billie Joe was definitely drunk. I just compared this indoor perfomance to iHeartRadio perfomance and goddamn there were way too many similarities
BrendanL Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 I was expecting a short set. I don’t think anyone expected only four songs, however. O.A.R. (who?) played for just under an hour Friday night, so I was reasonably sure that Green Day would play at least as long. I ended up dead center on the barricade after a 5 hour drive and an even longer wait in the freezing cold. Billie Joe looked and sounded amazing, man. Know Your Enemy was my favorite I think. And the J.A.R. tease! Bittersweet. Sucks that they didn’t play it, but so cool to see him sing a few lines. I wish Blue would have made an appearance. I feel for the people who traveled longer than I did and expected more. That said, it was a free show, and it was never promoted as a concert, but rather a “performance”. You’ve got to read between the lines a little bit here, especially considering it was a promotional appearance. I am not upset by the short set. A bit let down and confused maybe, but I’m inclined to give Green Day (one of the hardest working bands, and one which almost always goes above and beyond for their fans) the benefit of the doubt here. I’m just so happy to have had the chance to see them. @Jon Benjamin @pacejunkie punk @kaylubd Pleasure to meet you three and thanks for hanging out. Safe travels and hope to see you again in the future!
Thatsername Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Well, okay. Every time you think this era can't get any stranger😬 I just wish the realization would come without this sinking feeling in my stomach each and every time. I just.... I just hope everything is okay. Is everything okay?! And I'm sorry for everyone who travelled there and was disappointed
Alan86 Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Looked a pretty standard TV performance. Great to see Fire Ready Aim played too.
