I know it's all about streams these days, but out of curiosity (and boredom), I had a look at how the album is performing in terms of downloads and it looks pretty decent at this point. Right now, FOAM is

#1 US

#1 UK

#1 Australia

#1 Canada

#1 Spain

#2 France

#2 Germany

#2 Japan

Just to name a few 😉

Maybe it would be a better choice for a single.

However, I’m torn about Oh Yeah. It’s boring live but it’s doing very well on my local iheart alternative station. It’s in heavy rotation and is already #11 on their top songs. It wasn’t on there at all last week.

Looks like FOAM is doing really well in terms of album sales, according to this mid week report is gonna debut as #1 :)

Edit: ok it is for the UK, not US, here's the actual chart: https://www.officialcharts.com/charts/albums-chart-update/

Much of that is presales I’m sure but it’s still awesome. It’s funny how sales numbers have changed so much where 19,000 is now a lot. Didn’t Kerplunk sell like 50,000 it’s first week?

So it's no. 1 already? I always thought the charts are released every Friday in most countries. So are those the midweek charts or the official album charts for the week? 🤔

Edit: OK, those are the midweek charts 😅. But with these numbers, there's no way it won't debut on #1 😄

I was under the impression 19,000 was album sales in the UK.

What's the US numbers? Typically these should be around 75-90,000 these days

Is there anything about where it will chart in the US? Why is only the UK being mentioned?

Anyone still not get the father of all bundle?!?! Mine didn’t even ship yet

I don’t know how credible they are, but #7 worldwide

At risk of repeating myself, why is the charting news only about the UK?

I think it's because the  UK charts are published on fridays and the US ones are published on tuesdays, so the UK already have some data processed ready to be posted.

Any chance of this album getting Grammy recognition next year?

If it does, I doubt it will be on the broadcast. They haven’t shown rock/alternative categories in a while.

That’s okay, just another best rock album win at this point in their career would be meaningful

I thought Kerplunk had sold 50k when they signed onto a major label

Yeah, they would just broadcast Best Comedy Album like they did this year 🙄

I must say after the initial response to the FOA single and after hearing the album, I'm really happy it's doing well! I know a lot of people still aren't feeling it, but it seems like RevRad got slammed harder than FOAM. It makes me happy and proud that the boys took a risk and it's paying off :D

The more I listen the more I like it, it's awesome, could become their most dangerous to drive to 😂 Had the thought today that if this was longer, it might suffer from overkill like the Trilogy does, for me anyway, this way you are left wanting more.

I think maybe just one more song would've rounded it out well, but otherwise I agree. Keeping short and sweet was the right move. The excess amount of songs is really what killed the Trilogy. Here, there's no room for filler.

¿Hay alguna posibilidad de que este álbum obtenga el reconocimiento Grammy el año que viene?

if MANIA of fall out boy achieved a best rock album nomination, being his worst album, imagine father of all ...
