Metadon Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Hello guys, I've just watched the recent GD show at Iheart and was thinking about it. GD seems to be now more just into music itself rather than screaming hey oh in every song, etc as it was always like that. In other words more playing, less talking. And also they finally started to play BOBD as it is on the record! Like it so far, although I love when Billie is crazy and in talk with audience. It is so energetic! Hope they wont leave that
jengd Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Agreed but I think we need to remember that iheart was not like their own concert and it was a very brief 20 minutes to a varied music crowd - who were dead as always - so not really comparable, energy wise though I think it was great and am sure that will continue.
Christian's Inferno! Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Why was it so short? I mean only 20 minutes? The 2012 performance was 35 minutes and that was with their set being cut short I'm not familiar with the iHeartRadio festival so idk if anything has changed, like maybe they include more artists now which reduces the set times for each artist?
Squashie Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 @Christian's Inferno! My guess is because they were first act on. Where did they fall in the lineup in 2012?
HAPPY ZOMBIE UNICORN Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 I think all the performances this year were around 20-25 minutes. At least I remember this from the schedule poster, only the closing one was longer.

Their set wasn't cut short? Everyone had 30 minutes except headliner IIRC No idea why this year they had 22 minutes per artist but atleast the boys handled it this time well and even added guitar joke to the end.
jengd Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 It’s gone, the swines have taken the video down!

BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Oh no I still haven't seen it haha
Atomic Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 well the crowd was dead and they played for only 20 minutes so I guess thats the reason, but we'll have to wait to the first show this March to see, I think he did engage with the crowd on whisky a go go
Squashie Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 non-hd video of their set is still up on YT
Khaleesi. Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 That performance was so good I’m getting more and more excited for this era!
BUBBYBUB Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Billie redeemed himself marvelously and sang his ass off
Q-Man Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 Between the iHeart performance, the Whiskey, and Kimmel this is the best I've heard Billie sing since 21st Century Breakdown era. Father Of All is absolutely killer live. These performances have me extremely excited for this era now.

UNICORN VOMIT Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Im loving BJ feels naked without his guitar during FOAM so he just puts him hand on his hip - adds to the sass.
