Really?? Compare these sounds to GD's best albums. They just don't compare. And if this album is executed as poorly as songs like FOAMF and FRA, MOOTIK isn't going to be very good imo

Not a debbie downer, just a realist. With the state of the music industry, a rock album, even a perfect rock album won't get GD back into the mainstream like AI did. I'm happy to be proven wrong

I never said that though. All I said is it won't take the world by storm, regardless of its quality. And that I don't think it'll be a good album by GD standard based off of what we've heard of MOOTIK and what we've heard of GD recently

That was my opinion until I recognized the Apple-sticker left from the mixer. I don‘t think that every studio has an Apple sticker on electronic devices that are not actual Apple products.

So the studio is definitely the same, but to me the songs we hear are GD songs.

Perhaps. I was thinking more in terms of the series of their epic concept record rock operas, but that interpretation makes sense too.

One thing in particular that has been bugging me about this album cycle is that not once have the band been asked about that album art in any interview this year. Nor have any of the guys given any kind of detailed explanation as to why it was so low effort and recycled. That rings alarm bells for me.

All they have given us is that "nothing says f*** you like a unicorn", which I find hilarious, but it's certainly not a sane explanation as to what the hell the art represents or means.  

So the album art situation alone makes me feel uncomfortable about FOAMF, regardless of whether or not I like the music. It just does not seem like the guys to put out such bizarre artwork without reason, and we never hear a word about it again. And before you say anything about Uno, Dos and Tre, the art for those,  though low quality, at least made sense in some capacity; three band members, three faces on album covers. 

I just find it perplexing that no radio DJ or interviewer has questioned the artwork. And the art topic is just one reason I don't think you can hold it against people for feeling suspicious about this album and questioning the reality of MOOTIK.

Like I said, the music sounds like the real thing but the video is definitely fake. That doesn’t mean the music is the real thing, could be that someone went to a lot of trouble to make it sound that way.
