Magnum Opus Of The Inglorious Kind - confirmed NOT to be Green Day

@GDFan2019 Billie never said specifically that they were putting out an album right before the tour. You’re taking various statements and events and fitting them into a narrative that you would like. I just think everyone on here needs to deal with what we know rather than what we assume if you want MOOTIK to be taken seriously as a theory.

@papa I’m interested in what you’re trying to say.

With Stop, Drop and Roll and Dos, this is the third record that either is or sounds like Foxboro Hot Tubs, so that's enough to keep us entertained until Green Day come back with the follow-up to 21CB :lol:

Except for a recent interview, I was never aware of conflicts between band and label. Can someone elaborate on that with stronger facts?

We know the trilogy was a ploy to eat up the last three records in their contract, but Warner only counted it as one, so they've been trying to leave the company since 2012 at least.

I think mootik is real but I don’t except nothing before the foamf release

don’t except nothin about mootik before March or April

Yep, I agree. No way we hear another peep about this until FOAM is out

Unless Billie accidentally implies MOOTIK is real

C’mon guys. Someone was listening to the Panicland video in this and only one line was clear? Billie repeated that exact line with the same words and inflections? Green Day decided to record at some random studio in Canada where Panicland also has recorded? None of these are believable. I think you all need to accept that the videos themselves are debunked. The only thing that holds weight is the audio because it sounds so much like Billie/GD. And the one tip from a photographer who said that the MOOTIK cover was a rejected cover for Gods Favorite Band.

I still don't think it's the Canadian studio in the videos. This is the post that allegedly debunks them- and I'm just not convinced. Every studio has monitors on the sides of the screen and runs protools, yknow?

I also don't know if I believe the GFB outtake, the person that said that dropped the information and then refused to elaborate afterwards.

Another thought I had, we always get offshoots of Green Day screwing around, seemingly burning off creative energy, before we get their big rock operas.

Before American Idiot we had The Network and The Frustrators

Before 21CB we had FBHT

Before MOOTIK we've had The Coverups, Dead Mermaids, The Longshot, FOAM (if you wanna count that I guess, since it seems to be a FBHT record)

Just spitballing here as usual bc this is all real fun lol

Maybe Magnum Opus is the side project and it's coming after this Green Day cycle, because they are doing things different these days.

Maybe it's the band name! Maybe it's the Networks unmasked return!!! $

Maybe it's the Rodeo Queens!

And this is more like it, somewhat logical.

And the fact that @Matt. said they were in the studio from February to April, then went back in May?/June?

i had a dream. it was played on the radio. it was all over the place. (despite sounding like someone trying to sound like green day). maybe we were all just dumber back then. (or maybe dumber now?)

really though it was kind of a neat song.

love, papa

I liked it, and believed it was GD for a time. Was surprised to find out much later on it was the Dookiefied guy

Indeed it was. Daniel Shatterhand is the name he goes by. I think he's a member here?

And Mike admitted that they still had the backups but they just weren’t the same

Which is a bald-faced lie because what are the backups if not an exact replica of the originals?

I never really bought the Panicland theory to begin with. Billie Joe saying something like "totally" and "let's do it" is generic enough that I don't doubt he says it a lot, and it probably sounds like all the other times he's said it. As far as the studio note, pretty much every studio control room looks more or less the same, so even though they make look similar, I don't think the studio we see in the videos is whatever studio Panicland was in.

"The Third King"

AI = First King

21CB = Second King

MOOTIK = Third King?

brennan.huffing is obvious phonery.

But to be honest every time I see something from these copycat accounts, it's so fake it makes me more confident in the doback ones. Those are just so thorough and realistic.

But wouldn’t it be

1. Dookie

2. American Idiot

3. Magnum opus of the inglorious kind

in terms of Green Day albums that took the world by storm

When you make tape copies, the tape quality goes down a generation, if that’s what Mike meant

I believe they were recording digitally at that point, so tape degradation shouldn't have factored in

MOOTIK absolutely won't take the world by storm regardless of the quality of the album. And I doubt it'll even be a very good album by GD standard... And that's if the album even exists (which there's like a .01% chance of it existing)

No, I beg to differ! These leaks are the most epic things I’ve ever heard!!!! This album is going to be HUGE!!!! The Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band of Green Day!!!!
