You gave so many hints throughout your time here. If I had the time, I'd go back and try to make sense of it all. But I can never tell what your hints are referring to lol

If you're right, that's great that they're coming out with more, even better music very soon. That's very exciting. But it's also kind of a shame that they would sell their fans B-sides and present it as their "best work yet." What you said lends more credibility to the idea of this whole FOAM thing being to piss of Warner. Either way, I'll probably buy anything they make but I hope you're right about new, better stuff coming.

Sorry if I already responded to this but I want to be clear guys that I love the new single live too.

I didn’t say and wouldn’t say the album would be crap. In fact, I HOPE it’s a B-side. Some of their least sellable and palatable songs are some of my personal favorites but I fan promise WB wants the hits.  Their first single actually charted pretty well considering I don’t know any non GD fans that love it but they charts done lie (I don’t think. :)).

So yeah, it’s all relative. Some people will think FOAM is one of their best. That’s a guarantee but their good stuff is coming on “their” album. Look at how fast he moves to talking about their indie album immediately on promos.  But I agree, the songs I’ve heard so far (3 total) and I haven’t had the continuous loop play yet, which often changes things, makes some become a great song(s) when not at first. Happens every album for me but Nimrod and Dookie and 39 which all were amazing off the shelf, and maybe AI.

Father of all Motherfuckers. “It just sounded cool”. Think about it. Really? Billie just stopped putting thought into album names this year.

Nah. That was a big FU (promote that) and btw, I pown you now. He even said unless they back up the Brinks truck they’re leaving the label. Frankly they should as they really are the last of the legends. There are plenty of amazing bands     like Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters. Green Day are a legends legend.

Who runs the show now? GD to WB “The Father of all Motherfuckers”.

This is very interesting, but did you hear the song in those clips or something else? Because after those interviews I also gave for granted the fact that they have more material up on their sleeves, but the question here (in this thread I mean) is whether those clips are real GD material and part of this “conspiracy” to troll fans, or just a very well realized prank from someone else.
I don’t think anyone doubt that they have more material on the pipeline. Whether it is better or worse than what they are releasing with FOAMF I can’t know and is probably much up to personal taste. Probably some people would consider anything that is more towards classic punk rock or “epic” punk rock better than what we heard so far with FOAMF. I would not, but that’s another story.

Well said and I agree. Billie has stuff in the vault to make 6 albums before RevRad.  Yes, I’ve heard some of the demos, one becoming a track on LS (one of my favorite bands of all time by the way) and others with some bangers that haven’t seen the light of day yet but Billie, again, famously wrote a ton of material while on  the RevRad tour. Expect some songs you don’t know during the small show events coming up after the first leg. If there is no EP during the first leg, it’s down to contractual but I am sure they have a fairly favorable termination clause at the end of their 190 record run with WB which Billie is as please as piss to not have that thumb on him.

Its Billie vanity and it telling that makes him want to say “new music coming”. When depends on factors im just not privy to but if he gets his way, look for new songs released to digital music sites during the hella tour possibly after the European run. What’s the break time between Europe and US? Is there enough time to record a few songs? Dugan engineered, Billie produced is my guess.

FOAM is, by a bit, the shortest album they EVER in their history released? Coincidence? I am sure it will be great, maybe phenomenal but I am SURE their are songs ready to to after it. It’s not like he’s being shy and he’s not trolling.

Cool, so from what you are saying I understand that this is not one of the songs/demos you heard, right?

(Damn it, I got caught in the loop once again)

Billie even said that a total of 17 songs were recorded for the FOAMF sessions, but cut down to 10 for release

This is what bugged me since the beginning and why I couldn’t believe those clips were fake. It’s fucking crazy to do something like that.
But, on the other hand, can you see Billie or someone from the GD world digging the Panicland Instagram to find that mall video, downloading, editing and merging the audio in a real GD studio recording video, or even better to a “fake” studio recording video belonging to someone else (since we know that’s a Canadian studio not used by GD), then edit it again to include a real Green Day unreleased song... to do what? To make it look fake on our eyes when it’s actually real? That’s even more crazy, and without any concrete evidence pointing in this direction it’s impossible for me to buy this :D

No, I really can't imagine that, but I can imagine that someone was invited to GDs studio session (maybe someone from Panicland but doesn't matter), recorded some songs and thought it was funny to troll the fan community and create these video and asked GD for their permission and I can really imagine GD finding it very funny and allowing this person to have some fun under certain conditions ofc.

Weren’t the Dr.RobertDoback leaks initially posted in color? The one where you can see the Magnum Opus album on the table? Then it was supposedly deleted and reposted in black and white? If this turns out to be a hoax, why would they go through great lengths to do that, changing from color to black and white as if they’re trying to hide something?

I'll try to follow you here even if I know there's no way out of this: if everything is fake except the song, so someone recorded the song in an actual GD recording session, then merged the song audio in the video of another recording session and added the fake dialogue to make it look like it was actually a GD recording session, why there is the fake MOOTIK album cover on the counter?
On the other hand, if both the song and recording session video are authentic (assuming that for some weird reason GD went to record a song to the Panicland studio in Canada), why did they merged the mall Billie Joe/Panicland conversation on the video? If that's actually Billie Joe talking and jumping around, they could have just kept the original dialogues.

Exactly my thoughts when I saw this for the first time:

I agree that none of the whole MOOTIK thing makes any sense. But I wouldn't underestimate the boy's ability to make crazy shit happen. They are the fathers of all mockers after all :)

There’s some dialogue there that doesn’t come from the Panicland/Longshot meetup. The part when Billie(?) says, “Yeah totally, totally, totally, totally!!!”

And another thing, someone earlier in this thread pointed out that there’s one video where the person holding the camera pans down and you can see their shorts and sneakers. They thought it looks a lot like something Tré would wear!!!

Pardon me but that's not even close to the same level, you can find different interpretations to that cover, you can dislike it, hate it, find it absurd and everything you want, but here we are talking about GD recording a song, filming the process, then removing the audio of the video, add again an isolated audio of the song recorded from another session, then add the audio of the Billie Joe/Panicland conversation. I find it hard to even describe the process.

No it's from the same audio source, Panicland asks if they can perform at a Longshot show or something like that and Billie replies "yeah totally totally". We have known this for 3 months. And I think there are millions of people wearing sneakers and shorts every day.

Example of where the author could have take Billie's voice singing "aaaaaaaaah":

Take the "ine" part of "9" from 1969 at 2:14, work on it for half an hour and you have your "aaaaaah aaaah aaaah".

Even in the beginning he could have edited during the ''ooooh ouh ouh ooh ouh ouh ooh ouh'' (very hard to write those Hooo tho ahaha)

I get the idea that the record is sort of a "promote this" to the label, but it's still weird to me that the band would release something that could impact their legacy. To the casual fan who doesn't know about their record contract, the album cover looks like shit and forced nostalgia. I won't speak to the music yet since it's not out.

So far, Chris Dugan liked it!!! If Billie, Mike, and Tré like it, it’s pretty much confirmed!!!! Happy Thanksgiving Green Day fans!!!! Hmmm....silly-funny-sad-mad?

silly-funny= Clearly means a Tré song

sad= Billie piano ballad

mad=a song filled with killer guitar solos, bass solo, and drum solo

Well if someone here has the answers to any „why“-question in this thread, please let me know. Every single argument and question in here doesn‘t answer the „why“ 😂 loading Billie‘s voice into Melodyne is one thing, but then there are the instrumental parts and the choir and that‘s not easy so why should someone do this?

I think we should hire some hackers to find out who is behind the dr doback account, does anybody know a good one?

Well the rock opera thing is something that sounded like MOOTIK.
mmmmmh... don't know what to think.

Yeah!!! It got me thinking, if it’s not Green Day, who else could possibly be working on a rock opera? MCR just reunited, maybe them? Weezer? FOB? Butch himself? Panicland?

Ok to me this seems like it could just be a joke. Like he's mocking the ridiculousness of this insane theory and everybody in the band is in on the joke. Although to be fair, this is the first thing we've gotten that suggests there might be some truth to this theory. Although there is also the possibility that this isn't even referring to Green Day at all.

If there is truth to the theory, I'd still be really unsure about whether the supposed MOOTIK album will be good because to me, the clips we heard didn't seem that amazing. It sounded fine but not hugely epic. And if this album is equal in quality to songs like FRA and FOA, then I don't see it being amazing

Inb4 MOOTIK is released on April Fools 2020

What we heard are probably rough takes. Of course it wouldn’t sound amazing just yet if that’s the case

Even if he isn't talking about Green Day - rock opera, yes please  If he's talking about MCR, I'm also super-excited. Let's see what the future will bring...

And there was an interview with Butch like maybe a month before FOAMF was announced. The one where Butch was talking about his guitars and the interviewer says, “And now you’re making Green Day records?” Then the video got pulled, edited the Green Day comment out, then reposted. The interviewer clearly implied there’s more than one album coming out. If there were only going to be one album (FOAMF), he could’ve said, “And now you’ve recently produced a Green Day record?”
