Yep, but also they changed their approach on social media and now has one of the best social media marketing around, their youtube channel is fantastic, their tour section of the official site is awesome, and to release an official bootleg for each show they do is something remarkable

Maybe so but he said no one sues  their fans I was just pointing out a band has it is uncommon to do but has been done from time to time

What would Green Day say if they saw this?

How do you know they haven't seen it? The guys repost a lot of stuff from fans.

Nobody sues their own fans. There are so many fan drawings around the internet, if they would start sueing them they would earn so much hate. Same with film studios. Streaming movies on illegal websites is technically illegal too but no movie studio would ever sue the consumers of these illegal uploads. At the end of the day it‘s free publicity

I'm not disagreeing but people due sue their own fans, lol...

Companies do it all the time, especially if they see that their brand is being monetized. If for some crazy reason Green Day sued someone it likely wouldn't be Green Day themselves but rather their record label.

On a smaller scale it doesn't happen much at all, but if something gains traction you've got a chance of having at least a cease and desist slammed on you.

Every once in a while the system chooses to make an example out of someone, it just depends on if it's your lucky day!

I wonder how the 21CB demo ended up leaking online back in 2008

What I find the most stupid about this theory is why be mad in Warner in the first place? How has Warner mistreated the band? When rock was relevant they promoted them like crazy. They let them release 3 albums that flopped and also cancelled a whole tour for Billie's health. Then they released revrad without anyone from the company knowing. I guess if they pushed the release of foam back for months since we know it's been ready for a while now that would piss them off but still makes no sense to do all this to give warner a fuck you or whatever. Why even do that?

They seem very excited to go independent. If you watch the KROQ interview, Billie strongly emphasizes, “We’ll be off our contract with Warnerrrrrrrrrrrr!” And again, there’s the SongsForAssholes private Instagram. We all know it’s most likely documenting the recording sessions. If not Warner, who else would the “Assholes” be?

Being excited for going independent has nothing to do with shading Warner.

I don't see any indication of the assholes being Warner I always viewed it as they along with the fans are the assholes.

And then on Howard Stern this past week, they talk about the option to go back to Warner.

the “assholes” can be anybody. You, me, the band themselves. Any. Body.

If you think they have made up their minds about what label they will be on moving forward the answer is they haven't

Anything is possible until something concrete happens. For fans that will be either an official announcement or info around the time the next album drops

but... they definitely have a plan for how they will be conducting business if they do choose the independent route

I've followed this thread, looked at the original "leaks" and the fake ones that came after that and I am beyond intrigued! I have come to the conclusion that it has to be Panicland because of the people in the video and the weird way they used soundbites from that time they met Longshot etc. But why oh why would they do that?

I NEED TO KNOW !

ps: If it is Panicland then I wouldn't even be mad. I would just like closure, lol. And those song that were leaked sounded great so I'd definitely give them a listen if anyone would release them.

The songs themselves in the leaks though, definitely AREN'T Panicland.
Any honest, true Green Day fan can hear that the songs are Green Day.

Maybe the songs we can hear, are from FOAMF? We won't know until the record comes out, but one things for sure, Panicland, wouldn't have access to new Green Day songs to be able to throw the audio on top of the videos.

The fact there's cover art, which is done to such a high standard, suggests to me that there's a lot more to this than some people will let themselves believe.

Surely NOBODY on here, can say that those audio clips ARE NOT Green Day on the RobertDoBack account? Come on. You can hear BJ singing as clear as day.

Especially the part when he screams!!! But the one where they’re singing “1-800 lie” or whatever it is, it doesn’t really sound like Billie at all

I have a new theory. Every song in the leaks is GD EXCEPT the part with 1-800 lie/line/.... to me it looks like this part and the other music part in this video are not in key and the singers seem to be different as well. So what if they mixed this 1-800 song from a different band in the video just to confuse us? 🤔

That's the confusing thing! I knew both Green Day and Panicland before this whole thing and it definitely sounds more like Panicland to me 🤷‍♀️

The 1-800 lie lyric to me does sound like Billie but as a group / gang vocal.

All the studio audio we hear in the DoBack account is Green Day. If the audio was Panicland, they’d have taken it down by now as they could be seen as using GD to up their following and gain recognition for themselves. Listening to PL and none of their songs sound anything at all like what we hear in the videos.

robertdoback is a character in a Will Ferrell movie too. GD love Will Ferrell.

i don’t know why some people find it so far fetched to think a band with all of GDs resources, wealth and power, can’t release another record later next year. They can do whatever they want.

to me it’s more far fetched for that audio not to be GD

Everytime I hear the 1-800 lies thing I always think is something that Billie would write ahahah

I'm starting to think since Panicland didn't answered to any of the messages on their Instagram maybe they are really involved. Maybe Billie brought them to provide some back vocals to the songs and that's why they can't talk about it.

Or maybe there is a song on featuring on the supposed record (that also could explain why they are on that studio)

They don't sound like FOAM at all, I don't think they would be any of the song we didn't hear still. Still I think It's Billie 100percent, also the screaming part sound a lot like the voice he used on the  Bang Bang bridge.

Maybe it's also produced by Butch Walker, cause i hear a FOB vibe into that hymn sing.

I'm also starting to think the videos on Snapchat from Dr doback could have been recorded the day we watched them and not previously as we thought.

I just thought of something. Remember that interview with Butch Walker where the interviewer mentions Green Day and was later edited and reposted? The guy said to him, “And now you’re making Green Day records?” Records!!!! Obviously that means there’s more than 1!!!!

After finally listening to the video of when panicland met Billie joe, I'm convinced that Billie Joe speaking in the drrobertdoback videos is a recording of this meeting.

Do you think green day/or Billie Joe would do a collaboration with panicland and record a song with them?
