Stop, Drop and Roll is INCREDIBLE. Highway 1 is one of the best things Billie has written, PERIOD. The guy just knows pure rock n roll, I fucking love it. (Kinda off topic but just following the praise from previous comments.)

There are screenshots of the comments in the Instagram thread.

I commented on this in the album thread but these latest comments changed my mind about this theory I’m no longer sure he’s sticking it to Warner with this album. I think he’s sticking it to his past. This album is legit.

Same and I can’t wait for the ride to really get going.

Edit: I should say I was never on board with this whole “theory”. RevRad was pure reflection on their history together mixed with current events. All of their promo stuff was “reflection” based because it was 30 years of GD. This is just pure fun, going crazy and creating exactly what they want to. 🦄 Unicorn UP!!

Speculation is fun and all but at the same time I feel a little sad that we're rationalizing this and sort of writing the album off as trolling or alternatively as a result Billie's mental illness, when in reality this is it. This is a band that did a nativity play where virgin Mary gave birth to a potato. Why are we thinking this album is too weird by their standards?

YES! I’m excited by FOAM, the song and the album. I can’t wait to hear more singles. I love the weird vibe of it and Billie’s bad attitude. I’m not ready to think about the album after this.

I no longer am considering that this is a “troll” album. They’re totally serious about the music and about not being serious during this era.

IMPORTANT MAGNUM OPUS NEWS:

Not sure if this is their actual faces or not, but this was in fact the cover to OMEGA 3000 by the Network and it was altered to be this Magnum Opus business.   I think that's the guys from the Network unmasked, but I'm not sure.  If you look closely at the belly buttons and nipples, the bodies clearly belong to Fink and Van Gough.     I think someone close to the Network put their unmasked faces on this and someone ELSE put the Magnum Opus thing on their because people wanted a new Green Day record so bad.

The Network aren't going to release this because A:  probably shows their real faces and B.  They realized the hype for Green Day is so out of control that they probably wouldn't sell one copy because they got high.

It all goes back to that manufactured beef between them and Green Day, which was completely fake.

I knew those nips looked familiar. Great investigating! 🕵️‍♀️

As a songwriter myself I have to say that I don't think its possible to actually purposely write something bad. It just goes against every natural instinct and doesn't even make sense, Not to mention the cost time and hard work of many more people than just Green Day that goes into making an album and I still cant believe people actually think this :theory" holds any credibility. Obviously its possible they plan on releasing another album soon after this one but I don't find it even slightly possible that they purposely made FOAM shit.

Everything he has said in the last interviews/posts/comments personally sounds to me as odd and forced.

I think it’s kind of disrespectful to start this topic tbh, “we’re not happy with what you’re giving us therefore we’ll speculate about the album straight after this”.

Feels like we’re being really shitty fans. Sorry to be a twat like but yeah

Yes I dont like this conspiracy theory nonsense. I do think though they might release another album next year for the tour but I dont think we should speculate this stuff when the band is not here to defend this topic

Yeah this Magnum Opus shit ain't happening but it is rad that we're probably getting even more new music next year. No conspiracy. Team FOAMF forever.

I could not agree more. I am excited for the rest🤗

I read the comments too. I agree.

yes to probably getting a new album of some kind....however surely the fact that "billie talking" in the leaks are taken straight from the conversation between he and panicland when they do their longshot cover has this shot in the water...right?

This album isn’t a troll record. Anybody thinking that is being silly. It’s obviously a real record, but it’s more along the lines of a FBHT sounding record. The only ‘trolling’ it’s doing is probably toward the record label, Warner / Reprise.

However, I do believe MOOTIK is a real record which will probably come out next year, hence BJ saying we may release another record next year.

The video clips & the audio in the video clips on that robertdoback account are 110% BJs vocals. Anybody who says they aren’t, is being delusional. That IS him singing. Could they just be songs from FOAMF that we’re hearing on these clips? I doubt it. It sounds like a completely different vibe.

As for Panicland, they released one video on their Insta where their singer sounds like a rip off of BJ but that’s it, the rest of their music sounds nothing like BJ.

Where I’m getting frustrated on here is that people think this FOAMF record has to be a troll for MOOTIK to be real. It doesn’t! The trolling is in the cover art, that’s as far as the trolling goes. They can both be great records. Like I said before, I think FOAMF is probably a collection of FBHT songs but they’re releasing under GD to fulfil contractual obligations. I believe MOOTIK is already done & will be released next year. I mean their UK tour has 3 dates for 1 record?! (FOAMF) that in itself makes no sense to me. They’re obviously going to come back and to come back they’ll need something new to promote. - MOOTIK

I finally watched the Woody's interview and imo Billie explains FOAM quite well in it. I know there's a lot of doubt about wtf is going on with him saying the same weird stuff over and over, but that part where he says that he likes how these days it's easy to release stuff and that he wanted short songs and kind of to keep is simple really makes sense. If he wants to release music more often, it's not going to be rock operas.

I'm totally fine with believing this, but why would Billie say that FOAM (the song) was too short and play it twice at the Whiskey show?

Probably because he felt like it at the time

Because that's what FBHT would do

Yup. The Rev would have played it five times.  😄  Billie's showing restraint.

Okay, but dude singing in The Network sounds 110% like Billie Joe as well, and it's definitely not, so...

I just thought of another major clue about this theory being true. Honestly, do you really think a small band like Panicland would have the money to make songs with female choirs and elaborate string sections? Think about it.....

Wouldn't necessarily call that a major clue. Their FB states they're with something called Souvenir Records, although the label doesn't seem to have them on their roster anywhere. Anyway depending on how much financial clout the label has, you can do a lot with someone else's money. Who knows, maybe these are rich kids we're talking about.

I still don't think they have anything to do with the situation, edited-in sound bites be damned.

Are you all sure that Billie Joes Voice was edited into the MOOTIK leaks? Couldnt someone sat next to the Person filming those videos in the Studio who is watching the Interview with Panicland on his mobile? Just an idea. I dont know how old the vid with panicland was..

I really dont like the moamf Cover and Name..but I think the first Song is Great and I‘m looking forward for the Album..still I really hope we are right here..the Song in the leak sounds insane..After 3 years I would expect such a Song and Not moamf. If they want to drop their albums yearly or whenever they want I wouldnt have a problem if its only 26 min long

I know y'all are thirsty but this obvious fake getting this many pages is next level.

The Green Day logo on the (extremely poorly edited) leaked cover is the same logo from God's Favorite Band. The current GD logo at the time it was faked. Why would GD make a new logo for one album then revert to one identical to a greatest hits release.

And before someone mentions the trilogy logo looking like AI, in terms of typeface, stylisation and colouring, it's completely different. The leaked cover was straight up an old logo reused
