AngelBlue_ Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 I think Billie Joe is giving us hints....everything is so strange... 'I hate long songs" and then "that's too short". It's like he wants us to know that something is wrong
Jirachi Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 It could literally be the greatest album of their entire careers with 9 of the best songs they've ever written and the title track and I still feel the length of the album as a whole will take away from the impact of it all.
foxboro Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Didn’t he say awhile back (not sure if it was before or during RevRad) that he’d like to write another rock opera? I dont know where i read it but im pretty sure it’s out there somewhere. I’d be kinda weird if they went in to the studio and did the complete opposite.
Ross_19 Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 I can't pre-order the digital version of the album on Amazon because its "not available" at the moment. Well, Must mean they're getting ready to reveal the joke, show us the real cover and add more songs to the tracklist and rename it to Magnum Opus...
Redundantuserjinxboy Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Panicland is reading all this and laughing at us guys
MrElPacho Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 With the "I hate long songs" thing, if this really is a "fuck you" to Warner, could it be that the band went to Warner with a lengthy album with some long tracks and Warner didn't want them to go that way? So to make a point, Green Day bashed out a 26 minute album with minimal effort and decided to go indie because they were sick of being controlled creatively. Not saying that MOOTIK exists, but this might explain the contradictions involving long/short songs, the intentionally bad album art etc. On amother note, just posted this in the main album thread, but why is Jason posting a different unicorn on his album art? The cover situation is just odd, odd, odd. Something is fishy here.
jona92 Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Guys, MOotIK was the original tilte for GFB. It's not a new album

Jason probably got sent an email that had different variety of the cover for the band to chose and he probably posted one of the alternate covers by mistake
AnonymWarnerGermany Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Magnum opus is hidden in area 51

Not a new album coming We actually don’t have a real proof for this, and although it does seem to be the likeliest explanation, it’s still just a speculation based on info from someone who knows someone etc. You shouldn’t take everything in this thread so seriously😊 Just goofing around most of the time.

On a related note, some people seem to be getting a little heated towards those who are speculating. Part of the fun of Green Day releasing a new record for me is the speculation. It's just a lighthearted bit of fun. As long as you don't take everything too seriously and accept that all your speculation might turn out to be complete nonsense, it's fine. All I'm saying is, if people want to believe in MOOTIK, let them. If they want to believe FOAMF is the only thing we're getting, let them. We're all friends here. Let's just enjoy the ride. God's favourite band is back in business.
AnonymWarnerGermany Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 What some of you guys forget: Even if its not Magnum Opus. Bilie literally said: "Were probably release more new music before the tour."

Yeah, in part this is probably because this era had the longest speculation phase prior to it, like 6 months of speculation, and some people might be a bit tired of speculating when we have a new era going on here and now. This of course does not deny you the right to keep doing it

michael1989 Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 As much as I dislike the album art, if you look at in light of the lyrics for Father of All, it fits in with the theme of the album being "not giving a f*ck". Like cover art that was put together like an amateur in less than 10 mins.
Pollyanna Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 yo "father "is misspelled on the FOAMF album artwork

It's not only been the longest speculation phase, but the craziest emotional rollercoaster ride in my 15 years of being a GD fan. I feel like not only several copies of Nimrod were put in a blender, but this whole community. I must have aged 10 years in the last couple of weeks, but I'm afraid it's only just the beginning😂

I know it is but the F A & T are all three connected and are the only letters that are. FAF stands for Forgive and forget From some website The Meaning of FAF FAF means "Fit As F***" or "Funny As F***" So now you know - FAF means "Fit As F***" or "Funny As F***" - don't thank us. YW! What does FAF mean? FAF is an acronym, abbreviation or slang word that is explained above where the FAF definition is given.

So are you suspecting a hidden code in the title?🤩 Man this thread keeps getting better and better. I don't know. The only really obvious thing for me is the fact that the title says "Father of All Mockers" with the unicorn covering that part of the word, and that could be a preeeeeetty big hint for me. That's no coincidence.
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 I used to follow flat earth society and other conspiracy stuff for fun but this thread is so much better than any of it
