Remember the post that Mike posted on Instagram with Tarantino, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio? Billie replied something like why do I have to be Tarantino.. Well I thought about this and here's something I came up with. There's a movie that Tarantino made and it's called Inglourious Basterds. See? Inglourious Basterds -> Magnum Opus Of The Inglorious Kind. Can this be just a coincidence? Here's that post: Think this is strechting it really far. I'm afraid, with all respect to Billie, I don't think he would be able to pull-off such an intricate project.
Black Cat Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Further evidence that support the theory. This is how excited BJ is to promote his new work:

greenalert997x Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Maybe the person who made those leaks works at a studio and is somehow associated with Green Day and Panicland. A guy who knows a guy who knows another guy who is in a close touch with Green Day I guess that only could explain how someone got new GD music and the supposed cover art. Whoever had worked with Panicland could take advantage of the fact that they're on hiatus, besically totally absent on instagram right now and pre-arrange all the hoax, cutting Billies voice etc.
outwithoutyou Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 don’t know if this has been mentioned already but Joey Armstrong posted on his instagram story a screenshot of ‘Father of All...” with the caption “Just you wait. This all is so good” https://imgur.com/a/IrxPcKr Of course he could just be talking about the record, but could he be suggesting something a little bit more than just that... Thoughts?
Kjg950 Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 At the end of the day, the album is called "The Father of All Motherfuckers". You could interpret that to be "The biggest "fuck you" of all fuck you's".

Ross_19 Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Wow guys, you nearly have enough to start up the Next Album Anticipation Thread again. Missing it after just 24 hours are you? To be honest the main thing that seems odd from my point of view is that they went back to add more songs at the start of June... I have so many questions surrounding this detail now. Matt where are you?! We need clarification dude
DookieLukie Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Billie has made as lot of statements about making/releasing music that haven't come true. But the fact that he said they might put out a record next year before the tour implies that he has songs either recorded or demoed. Otherwise they'd be hitting the studio right now or he'd be in the midst of writing.
localinsomniac Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 So I've been a Green Day fan from just about 25 years. For me, it's never been a more exciting time to be part of this fanbase. A lot of the theories here make a good deal of sense regarding a "companion" album after FOAM. There's a fair amount of evidence supporting the opposite, too. One other thing I want to throw in here is that FOAM was recorded at Ruby Red, produced by Butch Walker. The whole Magnum Opus thing is so mysterious that it really could go either way. We have to consider, however, that if this thing really exists or will exist at some point, that it wouldn't have been done at RR; that Butch would have had nothing to do with it. That might lend some credence to the doback "leaks". Why Winnipeg? I don't know, could be they were doing all of this in secret. I still don't know how panicland factors in though. Those edited audio clips bug me. Green Day are not above pulling a fast one on fans. You need no further proof than everything that went on between 2003 and 04. A scrapped album that wasn't "maximum Green Day"? A new wave record wherein all the band members are in masks, even though it's painfully obvious who's behind them? They'll never admit it, but they don't have to. We all know. Of course I could just be talking completely out my ass. I just have a strong feeling there's a shit ton going on behind the scenes that we are not privy to.
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 When I was doing my Bad Album posts in the very first album anticipation thread, Matt once quoted me saying the album was done and now it's done again. "No more Bad Album". I though you tinfoilheads might enjoy analyzing that

MrElPacho Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Here's the thing, if the band had just released the album with a completely different image for the cover art, like something a bit more normal, I wouldn't be questioning this while thing anywhere near as much. But the album art, it's just... bizarre. I don't dislike it necessarily, I just can't fathom why they re-used AI. I really am desperate to hear what they have to say on this tbh. Something is off with that side of things.

Something is off with that side of things. Yeah, the AI thing was my biggest problem with it honestly. I see each album as an individual piece, so directly using the AI cover threw me. Not to mention the unicorn thingy, drawn with MS paint. It's not just a case of 'this isn't to my taste', it's like, objectively terrible. There must be more to it.

Christian's Inferno! Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 You think the album cover might be changed at some point due to the overwhelmingly negative reaction to it? Or is it too late at this point?
Billie Joes Eyelids Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Absolutely no doubt that the really bad cover art is some kind of message. It’s purposefully bad. The leaked studio posts are baffling to me and I tend to shy away from conspiracy theories. But there are definitely unanswered questions about them, especially the alternative GFB cover (what we thought was the MOIK cover). How do they have access to that? My feeling on the current album is that all of the music is going to have a dirty, experimental sound and Billie does love the music itself. He definitely loves FOAMF. He also knows it’s not commercially accessible and that’s where the “I don’t give a shit” comes in with this album. I think the next album will be very different.
Todd Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 You guys are looking way too far into this. If this turns out to be true, I will put TWO copies of Nimrod in a blender. How’s that?
alienlifeform Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Well, we heard from a secure source that the Magnum Opus cover was just a second option they were working for Gods Favourite Band

That's the intriguing thing for me.
