You didn’t say this in the previous post  You said “If they don’t sell them they can’t be sued”, which is absolutely not true. Of course if they remove the samples they can do whatever they want with them, but they would not be the same songs you felt for in the first place

I'm sure if a Dropbox link containing a zip file with the recorded songs surfaced here... From a new account using a VPN... Untraceable back... Then there's no legal ground to sue.

That's what most people are trying to say, I think. Not like uploading it to YouTube as Panicland.

I think it wouldnt make a huge difference. Its only little samples.

Well, if I were @Panicland, I'd reach out to Green Day (since they seem to able to do that fairly easily) and ask them for permission to release the songs for free (or they could monetise it with profits going to Green Day/Warner, although that would be a little unfair for them). There's plenty of precedent for this on YouTube however, with people using backing tracks (the actual instrumentation) for their covers or simply covering entire songs without asking for permission. Technically that's all not allowed, but they even make money from it in a lot of cases due to monetisation. So there's some people "illegally" profiting from it, while in other cases the record label monetises the video, but it doesn't get pulled down. So, sure it would require Green Day's approval, but if they really have a sense of humour as @foxborohottub said, they should give it the go ahead.

Man, I understand this, but it’s not “just little bits”, this thread lived for three months because “that sounds like Billie Joe and there’s no way that Panicland singer can sound like Billie Joe”, despite the facts that many people tried to explain several times how relatively easy it is for someone with the right knowledge and tools to do replicate that. Now that they show you that they actually made you totally fell for that doing what many people repeated in here for months, you you say that the Green Day samples are irrelevant. That’s hilarious to say the least

That’s right but, and I am not sure about this, I think that even with GD approval they could still have Warner’s suing their asses.

Well its just "HEYS" and screams. The actual vocals are from the panicland singer and sound really close to billie. They dont need to replace that.

They stacked those heys and screams and choirs to their singer voice to make it sound like Billie, that’s the point of it. If you remove those bits the song changes, and most probably you would have not felt for it in the first place. Sure, they can remove those bits, rearrange the songs and release them as Panicland, but I am pretty sure that if that was what they explicitly did in the first place you would have not cared about the whole thing for one second, because it would have just been another “Green day wannabe band”. IMHO of course.

Except what we have been saying for months is that the most probable option was that someone sampled Green Day and stacked Billie’s voice, and you/the people buying this stuff for three months kept saying “it’s impossible/too much effort”. So no, you guys are clearly the ones who have been wrong all along

I assumed maybe there were other "theories" being discussed as well as the original one, but if it's just one and it's been debunked can't see much point in keeping the thread. Is there anything other than discussion of a debunked theory and spam going on?
