Young people aren’t happy like we used to be.. I think most of them are scared for their life, and you aren’t going to be creative and care free if every day you have to worry about being shot in your classroom, and have absolutely no leadership or anything to be excited or inspired about.

i seriously feel sorry for the generation after the Millennials..

lol don’t. zoomers are creative. we aren’t like boomers or millenials lol. those generations are what ruin art.

@Panicland y'all seriously remind me of SWMRS. Idk why, something about your vibe...?

Does anyone agree with me?

yeah because they’re bourgeoisie kids who think they’re punk, just like swmrs.

@Panicland You did an amazing job with those songs! Guys, you really need to release this album. There are plenty of ways. You can release it officially if you come to an agreement with green day (maybe with a different album cover though, lol) If not, you can always just put in online for free, so that everyone could listen. Just don’t say that it’s green day and legally you’ll be  fine. There are plenty of bands that are trying to sound like green day. But from what I heard MOOTIK is not that at all. You came up with true original stuff! So what if you sampled a couple of BJ’s screams? Who cares. This is awesome original music regardless of the intention and people should hear it.

You can’t sample copyrighted music from a different band and then release it without the band authorization, not even for free. From a legal standpoint at least.

I like that younger generations are trying pop punk genre. I agree that young people can bring some originality and creativity.

However I do not think that there is any reason to be offensive towards Panicland. I actually find them to be creative, regardless if they are rich or poor.

@Panicland While I didn’t really buy the MOOTIK theory, I will say that you guys really went above and beyond on this prank, and those snippets really were amazing! Extraordinary well played.  If you guys collaborated with GDC mods on April Fools pranks, then you could really pull off something that would shock us all!

Also why give a band like them attention? Listen to a band like the frights or twin peaks, same age as these philistines but they know how to put on a live show.

They remind me of early GD when they perform, WAY more than these bloated rich kids.

Watch panicland perform, they have money for high quality stage set up and equipment yet have no fans at their shows.

i think we found our new 5SOS boyos. But since they can’t even sell out a bar, i’m going to consider them a 5SOS coverband.

Would the people who came up with Ooze now step forward? Everyone's revealing themselves, and it's a great day in the neighborhood!

Alright, I was trying so hard to sound like I had nothing to do with it to stir it a bit more (this wonderful picture I posted to Reddit included), but since I even saw those oozingly dangerous lyrics in the video Panicland sent to Green Day, I'm stepping forward. That was me, haha. I used an old Reddit account I had called HLAHG to make it look a bit more trustworthy (as in, the account wasn't brand new), but other than that I tried my hardest to make the lyrics look as oozingly cringy as possible. And yet, a lot of people fell for it and DMed me on Reddit for more info that I pulled from my ass while replying, acting like I know it all. 🤣 But I got the release date right! All in all, that was a lot of fun too. Sorry. 😬

Anyways, @Panicland, good job fooling most of the fanbase, me included. You inglorious motherfuckers. I agree we need to hear the full songs, raise your hands! Maybe you could come up with an agreement with Green Day so you could release them, even with the mixed samples.

I do not think that material possessions necessarily impact an individual's creativity or ability to make music ...

You’ll not get along that well with your zoomer companions if you care that much about fencing and protecting genres ;)

I don't like those panicland clips (and I don't personally understand the hype) or their other music, and I certainly don't think it comes close to anything Green Day has released, but there is really no reason to be insulting them as people for what seems to be no reason.

because my band would smoke them in a battle of the bands that’s why.

I’m more than willing to put the offer on the table, if they accept they can only benefit.

I’m sorry, I just don’t understand how they’re “sucking the teet of the system”. Just because they’re playing more mainstream shows again?
