He's been doing pretty well so far, imo. And just because the single has a bit of falsetto doesn't mean every single song will be like that.

It has been on point so far during Kimmel and iHeart though.

It still doesn’t sound as good as his “normal” voice, in my opinion. I don’t think the falsetto really adds anything other than trying to sound different just for the sake of sounding different.  When he switches back to his regular voice in the chorus, it’s significantly better

Yeah he should definitely try to sound different for the sake of sounding the same :P But jokes apart, I think the contrast between the falsetto and the chorus “screaming” singing is one of the things that makes this song very interesting, especially live :)

Honorable mentiont to that one time he said he can't promise things he's not sure about.

FOAM is the perfect opportunity to make a studio version of Maybe Forever, it's fast, short and catchy as hell. Although I don't see Billie Joe playing the solo since he's stated that he hates overly complicated solos, hence why he rarely adds fast solos in the songs. Still, if he did do the solo it would be amazing, that being if the song is in the album at all.

His falsetto is fine. When he changes to the chorus it actually creates a great contrast which is something the band has been great at going back to the American Idiot days.

Anyone else excited about some the of the song titles? "Bulletproof Backpack" for some reason sounds intriguing to me. My friend told me that companies are actually selling backpacks that have sheets of bulletproof material in them. I wonder if the song is some sort of school shooting commentary.

I think this record will most likely resemble Dos going by the description of the album

This may finally be our next Insomniac

Not expecting it to be guitar driven rock or anything,  but If it's as energetic from start to finish as FOAMF it might just be pretty darn good.
