Popular Post tdlyon Posted September 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 11, 2019 Is anyone else genuinely excited by the descriptions of the album's sound in the new interviews? Green Day doing something soul/R&B and dance inspired while keeping their own sound in the mix sounds like it could be super interesting 9 Quote

I'm excited about the new wave and motown inspired stuff. Hoping for something groovy like Kill The DJ with a better production 8 Quote

No idea on Spotify but it’s currently at #6 on the alternative iTunes Charts in the UK, but that also features artists like Billie Eilish and Lewis Capaldi. 1 Quote
1039SweetChildren Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I'm definitely intrigued by the descriptions! I just hope it doesn't mean lots of falsetto like the FOAMF verses 😂 1 Quote

On American iTunes it's #50 on all songs chart and #6 on Alternative. Alternative also has Lil Nas X on it for some reason so I don't know how accurate it is to actual rock/alt music. Quote

17Gonzalo Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Tune in Tokyo and Foot in Mouth are longer than next album... hope to be only a B-sides EP of Magnus Opus of the Inglorious King, but I don't think so... 2 Quote

Worldwide plays for the first day on Spotify were 240k. If you have a computer and have the Spotify app downloaded on it, when you go to their page and put your mouse over the popularity bar it’ll show you the number of plays. Quote
Popular Post Killjoy From Detroit Posted September 12, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 12, 2019 What I like about having only one song in the album be longer than 3 min. is that most songs will most likely be fast-paced, exciting songs. And I hear a lot of people complain about the length of the songs, but they seem to be forgetting songs like Stuck With Me (2:16), Geek Stink Breath (2:15), The Grouch (2:12), She (2:14), etc. If anything, going with short, fast songs feels a lot like old Green Day. I'm just hoping that my only complain about the album is that it's too short. 10 Quote

Popular Post DookieLukie Posted September 12, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 12, 2019 For those of you that are mad about sort songs, here are some (not all) GD songs that are exactly 3min and under that many of us love: 2000 Light Years Away One for The Razorbacks Private Ale Burnout Having a Blast Basket Case When I Come Around Murder City American Idiot St. Jimmy Nice Guys Finish Last Hitchin' a Ride The Grouch Scattered All the Time Worry Rock Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) Armatage Shanks Stuck With Me Geek Stink Breath No Pride Minority 86 Stuart and the Ave Walking Contradiction Content matters so much more than length. Yes, I'm upset about only get 10 songs, but quality over quantity. It's crazy that Troubled Times is the same length as Basket Case, yet feels much longer. Substance, people. 7 Quote
dudley dawson Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Prediction: the rest of the album will sound closer to “traditional” Green Day than Father of All... does. Similar to Oh Love sounding dissimilar to the rest of Uno. 1 Quote
green day is Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 On the other hand, out of ~200 studio tracks (including B-sides, give or take) only 19 exceed 4 minutes. Excluding the four suites which are just small songs strung together. I don't know where Billie got the idea he was ever in the business of writing "long songs". Quote
AnonymWarnerGermany Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 My problem with foamf is that I really like this song but Im not emotional attached to it, like songs from ai or 21st for example. And by the sound of it the whole album will be like this. I love the "epic" songs from green day. Like only thinking about restless heart syndrome for example gives me goosebumps. 4 Quote

And we have also angel blue, ashley, troublemaker, fuck time. All songs last less than 3 minutes... and suuuuck 😂 seriously I'm a little afraid of the trilogy vibes I'm feeling of this era so far. 1 Quote

GDFan2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 I apologize if this might have been shared already, but some song titles are listed on the FOAMF Wikipedia page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Father_of_All_Motherfuckers Quote
