Apparently, this album "has the band experimenting with danceable grooves, wiry riffs, and sounds that can range from New Wave to vintage R&B."  Interesting.

"The tour, which will be preceded by Green Day solo dates, will mark their first time playing with Fall Out Boy, who inducted them into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2015, and credited Dookie as a major reason they formed." Also interesting.

I'm assuming someone else probably posted this already but this thread is huge. lol

It's preceded by solo dates yes. 
Green Day start in March and the Hella start in June I think.

And also if they record in a studio paid by Warner or with a producer paid by Warner

Thank you for reminding me that @Maddie86 actually did that yesterday, it made me watch her video of it again and I'm crying. Yesterday really was one for the books; that awful album cover being real, Billies weird album description that read like a fever dream, everyone on here freaking tf out over everything, and Nimrod blending to top it off. I don‘t think that it is a „fuck you“, neither to Warner or the fans. I think the unicorn represents that a new era is coming and we should forget about the past and concentrate about the future. A „fuck you“ to American Idiot would be really unthankful and a fuck you to the fans would be really stupid (because they want us to pay 15€ for this album 😂)

From the context of the Kerrang article ar least when Billie said he didn’t like long songs he was speaking from the perspective of a listener. He was saying he’s always been ADHD and lately if he sees a song that’s more than three minutes he doesn’t even bother to listen. That’s why he wanted to write all short songs for this album — it’s to serve those like him with short attention spans and also make a statement about a quality so many of us share as a result of internet culture.

So, just to clarify, they wouldn't be able to announce another album now, if they had already recorded it for masters? Demos wouldn't count, I assume. When does the contract actually run out, would they be able to do master-recording legally before June next year? These are all wild and completely unrealistic hypothetical things, but I'm just testing what is actually possible lol
