I would be very happy, but please I hope they'll not announce it this year. I need to think about my money. My poor money that buy a FOAM vinyl that came with socks and a guitar strap.

I think we should stop reading too much into things. This is the album they are going to release, nothing more.

Billie Joe talking about releasing an album next year to me sounded more like they are not planning on having another 3-year wait in between this and the next album. It’s more about their freedom and free will of releasing songs and albums rather than a big master plan behind this new release and leaving Warner.

But we'll see, I guess

This just in: Green Day surprised by a resurgence in popularity of their album "Nimrod", sources say purchases have increased 500% over last year, and analysts are left stumped as to why. I also had the same thought. If it’s recorded while they are still with Warner it likely belongs to Warner. So even if they re-record and release it they there could be copyright issues, even though it’s their own work. Which would make the “fake leak” look very stupid. I’m just rambling here I don’t know the ins and outs of these things.

It's not like that, when songs are signed 

Warner takes a part, they can write and record whatever they want for theirselves, they become warner when they share the rights for a publication
