Their relationship must have soured after the trilogy. Plus, their relationship with Cavallo has seemed rocky for years. This is one thing I've thought about recently too 2 Quote
Tre's Busted Drumkit Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I'm more intrigued by the tour. I mean, fuck Fall Out Boy and all that, but if Fall Out Boy gets a 30-minute opening set then Weezer and Green Day play for 80-90 minutes each, I am so there. The idea of a 26-minute-long album is...I dunno. There are EPs longer than that. 3 Quote
Popular Post PleasedToMeetMe Posted September 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 11, 2019 I think the Hella Mega tour is a similar situation to The Pop Disaster tour. A chance to play for a more eclectic audience but most of all they know they're going to blow the other bands out of the water every night. Plus, they get to headline at all of these ridiculously huge venues. This is probably the biggest tour of their career. 6 Quote

dudley dawson Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Sorry but I’m not buying into the Magnum Opus conspiracy. We were all trolled. We need to accept it, move on, and hope for the best from FOAMF. 3 Quote

rockmanx37 Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Well, that was, different. A probable Hella mega joke considering the're done with Warner. I dunno, after seeing the KROQ interview its like Bj is laughing at my face lmao. Pd. what the hell almost 80pages lol Quote

21guns&novacaine Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I dunno, the more I've been thinking about it, the less impressed I am by their last stand against Warner and the more disappointed I feel because it's been three years since they had a new album, and it's going to be a petty puking unicorn send off? I guess we still have the potential second album next year, but still. 3 Quote

Popular Post pacejunkie punk Posted September 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 11, 2019 They do seem more eager to talk about the tour than the new music which is odd. 6 Quote

Popular Post Thatsername Posted September 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 11, 2019 What leaves such a bad taste in my mouth is not the fact that I don’t like the first single - I still don’t, but others do, that’s fine and always a question of personal taste - but it’s the fact that this whole thing so far is giving me horrible trilogy flashbacks (in terms of the general vibe). Billies weird, angry manifesto. The forced, cynical „fuck y‘all attitude“. I loved everything about the Revrad era because it felt light, honest, positive and just SO THEM. So I will stick to our Magnum Opus theory until we will be proven wrong, I just have to because I just don’t believe that the attitude they’re showing us right now is what the guys truly want. And who they truly are. 9 Quote
Matt3BJ Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I think Warner/Reprise mostly did right by GD for years. Sure there were some speed bumps and caution thrown at the band when they may have tried new sounds but that's just labels. Now this fiercely independent band can do whatever they want, when they want for the rest of their careers. Looking forward to all that comes. The new single has grown on me, and can't wait for more songs. Lets rock! 3 Quote
Popular Post Josh100_3 Posted September 11, 2019 Popular Post Posted September 11, 2019 This false album troll theory just makes too much sense. There’s no way it’s a mistake that the album art is a trashed version of their most successful album. I imagine the label has been hounding them for American Idiot 2.0 but the band just wants to have fun, so they’ve ruined the artwork for this record as a massive “fuck you”. 9 Quote

Hermione Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I don't know about conspiracy theories but I'm not on board with how it's being abbreviated to FOAMF. It should clearly be FOAM so it can be a good acronym 2 1 1 Quote
