To be honest I have almost completely stopped paying attention to "professional" reviews anymore for this very reason.

When it comes to video games and other media I have found that I typically enjoy things that other people don't, so at the end of the day it's all just one person's opinion and that person may not even be completely honest about it.
Lets face it, some people just have a burning hatred for certain type of content (or in this case Green Day) for whatever reason, or they might just be paid a lot to say a particular thing about something, as has happened many times before.

That being said though the very notion of this kind of review still pisses me off when "professional critics" absolutely bash something unnecessarily but the reason it does is only because other people might skip out on something they may have otherwise enjoyed a lot, and that's a damn shame.

I agree with you so much.  It’s the same with films though I think, critics go nuts about a movie and everyone else goes 🤔 or 🤯😂😂

I was expecting a mixed reaction, so the hatred doesn't surprise me that much, but I don't get it. I'm ready to bitch about anything GD do, but this is just a perfectly okay Green Day record, there's nothing to say.

I just listened flac version on my PC with headphones and god damn it there is so much more happened that this vinyl scraped version. For example in meet me in the roof I can hear additional sound In intro and one more guitar strumming not only main riff in verse and chorus.
