Demolicious still sounds beautiful in a gritty shitty way though

Edit: I haven't tried listening with headphones, I know that isn't going to be the best way to listen to this leak but I must say as someone who typically gives a massive shit about how good audio sounds, this sounds pretty badass on my sound system.

Yeah I listen to music ether through my audio technica M50x headphones or my edifier R1280DB speakers. Both aren't some super studio audiophile quality level but they are pretty good so I tried on both with the father of all song and it sounds pretty bad. So I wait...

I'm yet to listen to it in full, but I'm already having fears alleviated because Meet Me on the Roof and I Was a Teenage Teenager sound a lot more familiar than FOA, FRA and Oh Yeah.

Totally, and I think having a new producer pushed them in the right direction. It’s full of these little sound gems that really make the difference. Plus the lyrics tops  everything Billie did in a while IMHO.

That's my new plan B  but I'd prefer better quality so I could properly enjoy the instrumentals - the less muffled version wins

Set my sound system on mono and it sounds great, that’s clearly the leak issue.

There are some pretty cool ideas in the trilogy and I don't really mind the production as everyone, even Billie, says. The amount of filler and some really terrible lyrics is what ruins it for me.

Revrad I just find boring both lyrically and musicially. So I think I might like this album. I see a lot of people online saying the singles are the worst songs in there. Anyone agree?

Yeah it's full of moments that are just sweet. It's like seasoning making good food delicious.

I agree about lyrics, as a whole, it's lyrically the most consise record he's done in a while.

But after some listens I am quite stunned

It's just totally different 

Listening to the whole thing I got the idea behind the three released song 

 

And maybe I'm the only one but I think it's the most punk rockish realese of them ever thinking about the clash and the who and stuff like that

At the moment I agree but there’s also the “novelty effect” to take into account. I still think FOAM and Oh Yeah! are great tracks, but if you ask me now I would be 100% sure FRA is the lowest point of the record. And considering I started to really enjoy the song lately that’s quite a good consideration on my side

Nope, not for me personally (unless you're referring to "Oh Yeah"), I think they rock pretty hard and there are a few other's that rock pretty hard too. For me those ones are the best ones on this record.

It's hard to choose favorites, but I'd say the more experimential moments like Junkies are stronger than more traditional Green Day like Meet Me On The Roof.

Anyway, they better play them all live

Its so interesting how diverse the opinions are on this record. From what I see the vast majority either think its amazing or somewhere around average (for me it's slightly above average) with only a few saying they dislike it. For the people who love the album, those more experimental songs "oh yeah, Junkies and Graffitia" seem to be the reason why.

Nothing against that, but I just find it really interesting.

I bet this leak will do good to the record, social media comments I saw are mostly positive atm.

Yeah I notice the trend too and I think it means they accomplished what they wanted, because there's experimentation for those who want it, but it's still enjoyable for those who prefer traditional green day

Agree 100%, I know it’s way too soon for this kind of comments but atm I feel like this is what I wanted from RR and didn’t fully get. The diverse record bet of the band is won IMHO.
