Wow these lyrics are as dark as the Longshot and Trilogy combined 😢

But is it as dark as Christian’s Inferno?

I’m serious. I didn’t see the lyrics yet.

still hoping this album pisses off all of you guys, judging how you guys judging the lyrics before hearing the actual songs, just a step closer :D

I mean if people judge the lyrics it’s totally valid, but judging the whole song is taking it too far.

Many low and high in the lyrics. ”How high is your low?” ”High on a low life” I liked that contrast.

Yeah and reminds me of happiness lyrics "how happy is your happiness"

I'm not gonna spoil the lyrics without a leak. I'm happy people say they're dark though. I'd like a leak now my day was pretty good it would be nice to end it with a new green day album.

Won’t lie the lyrics don’t sound too great and are mostly nonsense to me but the songs might still be kickass

English is not my native language and I can't understand everything i hear in the songs immediately and this will be the first time since the days of American Idiot that i will read the lyrics and hear the songs simultaneously . The other albums since then had leaked earlier, or had an official realese in my country some days after their realese in USA, so the lyrics weren't available or i had already heard the songs. Ι just had a emotional recollection of 15 years ago, when i was very young and started liking the band and now I am as excited as the kid with the lyric book in hand I was. It is a privilege to love a band constantly, so many happy memories are intertwined with them.

Heaven begs to differ.

Okay now I'm really excited for Graffitia, says it reminds of Muse's "Starlight", it must be very interesting

Oh geez...not sure how I feel about that comparison...

You can't use a smartphone to light up, so people still have lighters  They're not obsolete.

dark and to the point, I like that. It's like Trilogy or Longshot but with more punch. It's simplistic but not in a bad way. These lyrics have a quite heavy emotion to them.

Obviously there's a million GD songs that sound upbeat musically but are dark lyrically, but the first song that comes to mind for me is 27th Ave Shuffle (esp since people keep making FBHT comparisons).  I tend to listen to the music more, especially early on, but that's one that the lyrics really jumped out on their own and I noticed how dark it truly was.
