They met at Post Malone’s show and got along. It very well could be an appeal to generations, but there is a connection outside of trying to stay relevant. I think he will sing, or at least mouth the words, because as someone on reddit pointed out there a clip of when they were shooting the video (a video of the camera filming them) where he is singing.

I’m sure he’s just mouthing some of the words at that point, because again, he doesn’t have an actual verse in the song. So it wouldn’t make sense for him to be singing a part in the video, with his own voice.

I do agree with you and it’s backed up by social media posts, that for whatever reason Billie and Tyla really hit it off at the concert and at the AMA’s. And then obviously Billie asked him to be in the video.

This is pretty much what they’re saying smh shame because just because someone’s black doesn’t mean they don’t know rock music! Blacks arguably invented it.

Any particular example you can give? Last I checked, the fans were more worried about having NightLife 2.0 than about having a black man in the video.

Yeah, I do think it’s possible he could have a vocal part, even if it’s just a remix video version or something, because it doesn’t make much sense for him to be there if he doesn’t do anything.

Yes, with out black artists rock wouldn’t be what it is today. My only criteria is that it works and makes sense to feature the artist, and I think it would work best with rappers who are open to rock in general, not just as a feature. Post Malone and MGK are my top picks cuz they openly talk about how much they like rock and they make rock music sometimes. Lil Wayne also falls in this category, but he just did stuff with blink, so I feel like Green Day fans would have multiple reasons to be against it if they featured him. Juice wrld is a another artist I think would have been great, but sadly that’s no longer an option.
