I didn’t know it’s racist. Teachers from school teach we call them negr. Even have country Nigeria. I thought calling them black is racist. I never be in USA. Sorry

Weird thing is, your name kinda sounds Spanish/Hispanic to me and in some Spanish speaking countries people do actually use that term colloquially or with no offence taken. Don't know about Russia though...

I understand. But yeah now you know. If you're describing someone's race "black" is the correct word. But unless there's a particular reason to mention someone's race just refer to them as a person/guy/dude etc, no need to bring their race into it here.

Sorry for the OT, but just to underline how different languages and cultures can create misunderstandings and wrong perceptions, in Italian the use of the word “race” to describe someone’s ethnicity or cultural background is considered racist (since biologically there’s no such thing as human races and that’s perceived as following the fascist/nazist race ideology). Just to say that in the beginning I also struggled to adapt to the English/American way to approach such things, and it’s understandable that someone from a very different background can make mistakes in such an international online community (it’s also part of GDC’s beauty, isn’t it?)
